Also spent an afternoon Kayaking nearby at Shioya beach with Max at Sunnyside Up -well worth doing with amazing scenery and even a swim at a beach! Very good stay as staff members were attentive and caring. They remember client preferences and nothing seemed too much trouble. Rooms were very clean and tidy. We would recommend this ryokan to many. The only drawback was that dinner portions were very small and we are used to ryokans serving an abundant meal in the evening. Breakfast was OK but not outstanding. So, the point of focus is on food. Service was brilliant.
