When we arrived, it was raining. I knew the hotel was very close by to the station but I didn't know that it was actually attached to the station which was extremely convenient. Loved our one night stay here!

Good stay and breakfast. Hotel location is good. Walking distance to Hakodate's attractions. the breakfast buffet was awesome! Breakfast selection was good, has japanese, asian and western and it will not get bored due to the variety. Century Marina Hotel also has Onsen and ofuro at the top of the hotel. After a long day enjoy the onsen with mount hakodate view.

Beautiful manor type property, location was great - in a very beautiful little village, accessible directly fr Sapporo main station, walkable, beautiful woods and lake around the property. Private bath in our room was the best, warm and clear. Free drinks (within certain hours), and activities are not very pricey but extremely pleasant, we did the birdwatching and we were so happy. Also luxurious dinner and breakfast service.

A lovely, cosy boutique hotel. Very friendly staff with exceptional, Japanese standard hospitality. We stayed for 3 nights and the two bedroom suite was huge. There was a beautiful vacuum tube amplifier in the living room with great speakers. The hotel had a lovely collection of CDs, books and free drinks in their lobby. Our room came with breakfast and each morning we had a chef make a whole selection of either Japanese or Western inspired dishes. The hotel is very near the Jujigai tram stop and you can walk to the ropeway. All in all, an exceptional experience.

Less than 5min walk from JR train station. Also near the tram stop. There's a Lawson next door and a simple and good seafood restaurant beside Lawson. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The room was old style, but clean and comfortable. The aircon can be controlled precisely to your preference, there's a cute stainless steel kettle in the room that boils and cools water quickly. Breakfast is free and there are Japanese and Western options. The bed is firm, but I slept well. There is a large window to let in sunlight. Amenities like toothbrush, pyjamas, face wash, moisturiser, etc are provided in the hotel lobby.

    Hakodate per se is a quaint lite town, whose main attractions can be visited in one day. However, it can serve as a hub for exploring southern Hokkaido as it has all the necessary services. Food is certaiy a plus, particularly seafood, and prices are lower than elsewhere. Also, compared to larger towns on Honshu, it has a frontier-type of vibe.

Surrounded by lush forests and farmland, it offers a peaceful retreat from the busier tourist spots. While Assabu is small, it has a few unique and culturally rich spots that we visited: 1. Assabu Kyodo Shiryokan – A local history museum that gives insight into the town’s heritage. 2. Assabu Shinrin Tenjikan – A forest-themed museum showcasing the region’s natural environment.     Hakodate is a beautiful scenic town surrounded by mountains. It's right on the port so lovely for a summers day. We enjoyed our 3 days here, going up Mt Hakodate and walking around the pretty streets. It would be a beautiful spot in Winter when there is snow.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly. There is much to see and do especially in the Spring season. Travelling around on the tram was very convenient. We really enjoyed Goryokaku Park, Mt Hakodate and Hakodate Park. Also enjoyed Morning Fish Market, Museum Ship Red brick Warehouese. Places of interest included Old Public Hall of Hakodate and Museum of Northern Peoples. The fish market in early morning and salt ramen very good.
