- From US$108.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 979 reviewsGreen territory, modern equipped cabins and nice beach. It was quite cold in May, so we were glad that we could use air conditioner in a heat mode. Wi-fi worked well. Due to mid season check-in and check-out process didn’t take a lot of time. The deposit was paid by card, no cash needed, but there was an ATM just right to reception just in case. Restaurant offers large choices of pizza (and not only pizza) with a take away option.Guest review byAnnaRussia

We were able to reach the beach, restaurant or the pool almost all the way in shade, making it an enjoyable walk. The car parking spot was close to the house and not under direct sun for the whole day. In addition, the beach was perfect for children.Guest review byMihaiNetherlands

Florence swept me off my feet from the moment we arrived.
Florence swept me off my feet from the moment we arrived. There’s something magical about simply wandering its streets—every corner seemed to open up into a piazza, a hidden café, or a glimpse of Renaissance architecture that felt straight out of a painting. The food was unforgettable. From rich pastas to simple panini enjoyed on the go, every meal felt like a little celebration. Even the gelato stops became part of our daily rhythm, and somehow each one tasted better than the last. Shopping was another highlight—whether it was browsing leather goods at the markets or window-shopping along the designer-lined streets, Florence offered a perfect mix of treasures and temptations. And then, of course, the architecture. Standing before the Duomo, walking across Ponte Vecchio at sunset, or just admiring the details carved into centuries-old buildings made me feel like the whole city was an open-air museum. What I loved most, though, was that balance between the grand and the everyday—one moment you’re staring up at Brunelleschi’s dome, the next you’re sitting at a little trattoria with a glass of Chianti, watching the world go by. Florence wasn’t just a trip; it was an experience that left me with memories I’ll hold onto forever.Guest review byReginaUnited States - 10.0
Nice place for 1-2 days stay!
Nice place for 1-2 days stay! Plenty of eateries around the corner from the leaning tower . From the train station , nice views across the river. However without local guidance , difficult to move around the city, could do with a tourist information centre at the train station !Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Siena is full of wonderful architecture, art and places to enjoy BUT for anyone interested in the early Sienese painting of Duccio et al NB the Pinacoteca Nazionale has closed the entire floor of early paintings for the foreseeable future for upgrading the eco standards etc from August 2025. A major gap!Guest review byAdamUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lucca is a beautiful walled city.
Lucca is a beautiful walled city. There's a lot to see if you are interested in history and culture. There are many delightful bars, pasticcerias and osterias. We would particularly recommend Caffe del Teatro for coffee and pastries. The city is small enough that you can walk out of the city into the countryside. An easy route is along the disused aqueduct path. There are also good bus and train services if you wish to go further afield. Pisa and Florence are easy to reach for a day trip. So is Viareggio. We plan to return.Guest review byMalcolmUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Was not impressed with the city and expected more given all...
Was not impressed with the city and expected more given all the review I read online. My disapointment could be due to the fact I visited in February, so off season. I booked two nights but decided to only stay for one and left early. Even though I booked a room in the central part of the city I did not feel safe walking the streets at night.Guest review byViktoria - 10.0

We went to several walled cities on our few days in Tuscany. San G was our absolute favorite. Very clean and the food was amazing. Be prepared to walk a lot up hill, but that's the same with any Tuscany walled city.Guest review byDeborahUnited States - 10.0
Absolutely LOVE Montepulciano; I have spent extended time...
Absolutely LOVE Montepulciano; I have spent extended time here and brought a friend for 2 nights which she thought was perfect. Allowed enough time to see the town, enjoy long meals and leisurely walks to see everything and do some shopping while not having to rush - views are spectacular and people are all so nice and most have enough English to adequately communicate if you don't know any Italian. Wine is fantastic everywhere and it's not priced like a tourist town - prefer it to San Gimignano, Cortona, Orvieto, Todi and Assisi if you only have time to do one (they are all worth visiting though!). Train to Chiusi then bus straight into town if you don't want to rent a car - super simple & reliable schedule but there is free parking and plenty of paid lots if you do rent a car. Also centrally located with, easy visits to several smaller towns like Pienza, and Lucignano if you do have a car and want to extend your stay in same property.Guest review by629 - 8.0
A very attractive town.
A very attractive town. The beaches are superb, but unless you head out of town you need to go into a beach club. There are no free access beaches in town. Some hotels have an arrangement with a beach club for free or discounted access for guests, so it is worth checking this if you intend to use the beaches. It can cost typically EUR30-40 for 2 chairs, a sunbed and an umbrella. They don't offer reduced rates until 3-4pm. That will add up after a few days. The restaurants are OK but nothing special. Most of them serve the same food, which can get boring. We ate in our hotel restaurant more than we usually would, but the quality and variety of food on offer was better than any outside restaurant we tried. Apart from the beach, shops and walking up and down the promenade, there is not much to actually do in Viarregio, so you may want to get out on some day trips. Pisa and Luca are accessible by train, although we found them both to be disappointing (especially Luca - what a dump!). We found the train service a bit hit and miss, although it is cheap. Consider hiring a car if you plan to get out of Viareggio. If you pick up and drop off at the airport, it will also be useful for airport transfers.Guest review byFarnboUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We loved Arezzo so much we decided to buy a home and retire here! City has it all - train directly into town, flat walkable and pedestrian friendly city with more delicious restaurants than one could ever try in a lifetime. Nice park with a view and amenities adjacent to Duomo and plenty of shopping - this is a city where people live and tourists tend to visit on famous Antique Market weekend so you get a sense of what it's like to actually live in an Italian town - hours of operation for shops and restaurants are Italian vs tourist, people are friendly and it's a safe city without the stress of pick pockets or crowds - most people miss Arezzo; don't be one of them!Guest review by629 - 8.0

A good base if your a bit more adventurous and don't mind travelling by train. For example Pisa and Florence are both reachable by train but include changing trains at various places. Montecatini itself is a little run down in places with all the spa buildings closed. A nice little town square where a few bars can be found. Montecatini Alto is a gem reached by a funicular railway and Lucca (40 mins by train) is well worth a visit.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom
