Everything was absolutely perfect: the room, the service, the spa, the massage (thanks Floriana!), the amenities, the gym, the restaurant! This dinner surprised us a lot! We had no idea how good it would be. We had fish and steak - both FABULOUS - and the chef gave us amuse bouche and dessert. Would recommend to everyone.

Our room was very clean, large enough and comfortable to spend a night. Also I have to mention that the hotel receptionists at the lobby were all friendly and very professional, they were really willing to help us when we asked a favor, really appreciated it. Plus, we found an awesome local pizza place near by so it's a bonus point.

This is a small hotel with only 9 rooms, with a very friendly atmosphere. Angelo, who works there, is like a real angel, he tried to make our stay perfect. We are still talking about the tiramisu and pasta he made for us for dinner. This was the best dinner we had during our holiday in Sicily, highly recommended! Mazarro Beach is just 3 minute's walk from the hotel, they have their own access to the stairs from the garden. Mazarro Bay has very clean water, it's good for swimming, in our opinion much better than overcrowded Isola Bella Beach, which is also within walking distance from the hotel (about 7 minutes).

I spent one night at this wonderful hotel near in Ragusa , and it was a fantastic experience! The room was cozy and spotlessly clean. The staff was welcomed. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, with fresh croissants, homemade jam, and excellent coffee that started my day perfectly. The location was incredibly with a beautiful views, convenient and quiet. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area! Thanks!

An Island of Intrigue

The largest Italian island, Sicily has long been a place of mystery and intrigue, coveted by civilisations. Its Greek history is most evident at Agrigento whose UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Temples has amazingly well-preserved Greek temples.

Also important to Greece was Siracusa. Archimedes was born here and there is a theatre and necropolis to explore. However, the most spectacularly located Greek theatre is at Taormina. Set on a hill overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, this theatre points towards Mount Etna smoking away in the distance above Catania. Picturesque Taormina is one of the most popular Sicily resorts and down below there are some wonderful Giardini Naxos hotels on the beach, available on Booking.com.

Another resort boasting some of the best Sicily hotels for families is fabulous Cefalù. Home to a lovely beach, this small town is dramatically located at the foot of a mountain.     Returning to Città del Mare after 30 years was pure joy, this time as a mother of four. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with stunning sea views. The resort is huge, full of beautiful gardens and greenery. Our kids absolutely loved the famous toboggan into the sea, and the pools kept everyone happy. The animation team made sure there were fun, varied programs for all ages. A perfect family holiday - we all enjoyed every moment!

    Don’t repeat our mistake 😀 The hotel has an elevator to get to the hotel. We walked 700 meters in the heat. I liked the place, interior, pool, beach and breakfast. Also, you should add 5 euros per night to get access to the pool and beach for two hours with sun-beds and umbrella. We didn’t have our towels, but you can leave a deposit of 10 euros and they will provide it for you. You will get the money back after you check out.

The hotel, the rooms and all the facilities were perfectly clean. The rooms would even be cleaned multiple times a day. Breakfast had everything you could ask for and can be enjoyed from the terrace with a fantastic view.

    We stayed for five nights in September in a beautiful apartment in the historic centre of the city. There are lots of interesting places to visit such as the Cathedral, the fish market which is a sight to behold,(wear old shoes) and lots of little side streets leading to piazzas and hidden delights. There are so many churches with bell towers to climb up we lost track of which was which. The port is very large and quite industrial, not so much a touristy harbour for strolling around. The city centre is pedestrian prioritised, traffic can enter but must give way to people. Catania is a charming city, full of beautiful buildings and quiet little piazzas. A bit grubby and untidy in places but really lovely.

    The authenticity of the small town is fantastic!! The majority of the town has maintained rustic, quaint and historic architecture building the town around this. It is beautiful clean and compact , yet full of excellent restaurants, bars and shops - most are classy and sophisticated. The people are all super nice and friendly. I would recommend doing a guided tour here as it is full of history ! I would be wary in the height of the season as it is so small and I imagine the small town centre would be crammed. Local beaches are stunning

    Amazing Cefalu!Wonderful,clean and unique old town !Nice food and service!We want to go back soon and for longer stay!You can catch the train. to Palermo and have a nice walk there for a day!After that go back to Cefalu and enjoy❣️

    Trapani is a small city which deserves exploring and getting to know. Lots of hidden gems and beautiful sights. The Museum of Optical Illusions is great. Trapani is a good base for exploring the area by car or public transport. Our half day trip to Erice was wonderful; another day on a boat excursion to the Egadi Islands truly memorable.

    Lots of steep streets and alleyways but didn't get lost! Best to visit the Valley of the Temples early in the day before it gets too hot. Make sure you wear a hat and have plenty of water. Take the time to visit the town, especially the cathedral and greek church

    Beautiful town, full of life at night.

    Beautiful town, full of life at night. Easily walkable, flat streets. Beach is nice and long, with multiple free areas. It's a gorgeous scene with the huge mountains, and lighthouse at the other end. It is definitely more of a touristy feel, as we went in August. Definitely explore up and down the peninsula, as there's excellent beaches and coves to swim at as well!

    Alot of people do not speak english, and everything there including street sign are in ilalian. Had an excustion to the godfather on a hop on hop off bus(green) I had ordered from Get Your Guide and went 2 hours early and the direction they gave us was wrong and couldnt find the place for pick up in mountain. Had no wifi on my phone, even when i paid extra to get itWIFI on my phone. Tried to ask people but on one knew where to go. Traffic was terrible where the address was to pick up. So i ended up not making the excurion, and company is not giving me a refund. Also the rest RISTORANTE SABBIE D' ORO charged us $162.00(euro) for a 1 lobster. They stood over us until we order, couldnt speak english and the menu said 18 euros for a one lobster, thought that was a good price. Pressed us with extra stuff we did not want to order, because we could not understand them. Then we go to pay there system was down and couldnt take no visa or MC. Our bill was $350 eros. We had to go to atm machine and they charged us $75 to take money out of machine. BAD EXPERINCE!!!!!! I would suggest not to go there.

    The best part of our trip to Sicily was staying in Favignana...

    The best part of our trip to Sicily was staying in Favignana for a couple of nights. I would say that 3 nights would have been perfect. I highly recommend renting your own boat and renting bikes to explore the island as much as possible.
