A beautiful city, cleaner than other cities in Italy, with a charming view of the sea. In September, it still has a vibrant evening atmosphere, with restaurants, shops, and traditional music at the taverns. Personally, I found it less crowded than Amalfi and more interesting than Positano.Guest review byEvelineRomania - 10.0
Great base for visiting other villages along the coast.
Great base for visiting other villages along the coast. Pretty town with plenty of small shops for gifts and ceramics. Wide range of restaurants, busy ones on the central square and secluded ones up steps and in alleys - all full of character. Limited suppplies for apartment cooking so we had to eat out for all meals but prices the same as UK. La Perla restaurant made excellent gluten free pizza! Very easy to eat gluten free as most menus clearly marked. Crowded during the day.Guest review byKimUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved Positano, the people, the vibe, the culture and the beauty. I highly recommend going and staying in the heart of it all. I always felt safe and comfortable. I always walked at night and never had an issue. There's lots to see and do. I took in a sunset cruise, such an incredible way to see the coastline. The food is amazing, always fresh ingredients. You feel like family when you sit down to eat. It's an absolutely stunning place. Go if you have a chance.Guest review byLauraCanada - 10.0
Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast.
Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast. The beach is big and much more accessible that other towns. The local bus service (Sita) is good except that the buses fill up and you can be left waiting for the next one and hopefully get on it. The Amalfi Coast road is amazing, winding, narrow and so busy with traffic nonstop passing with inches to spare - sometimes buses and cars have to back up to pass on some parts. The Italian bus drivers are extremely skilled - some are nice, but some are extremely mean (and I think hate Tourists)Guest review byMiddletonAustralia - 8.0

The sea front with its elegant buildings and promenade is extremely attractive. The views towards Vesuvius are spectacular. The town itself does not seem anything special but it is much quieter than Sorrento which was somewhat overrun when we visited. At the same time, Sorrento is easily accessible.Guest review byKeith StuartMalta - 10.0

Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and Sorrento. It takes 20 minutes to get to Sorrento by train, from where you can easily reach Positano, Amalfi or Capri by ferry, and in an hour you can be in the centre of Naples by train. This means you are very close to both places and don't have to pay the higher prices in Sorrento or Naples.Guest review byMarjanGermany - 10.0

A quiet and peaceful area with many possibilities and attractions. Excellent public transport connections. Close to beaches, mountain trails, picturesque towns and restaurants. Excellent hotel infrastructure. Various types of shops - from grocery stores to hiking equipment. Limited but free public parking. Scooters available for hire. Public laundries.Guest review byKrzysztofIreland - 2.0

I booked the Double Room with Sea View for good money but at no value. The room had a window with blinds that were broken and not possible to open, so instead of the sea view I've got the 4 walls closed space (perfect for Amalfi coast vacation!). Old smelly absolutely shaky furniture, cracks on the walls, dirty walls that haven't seen any paint since the building was finished I guess. Even the soap saucer in the bathroom was cracked. Announced breakfast is just stale croissants with jam and lowkey coffee. Worst experience ever, don't recommend anyone.Guest review byAlinaUkraine - 8.0
A bit isolated.
A bit isolated. Restaurants and bars limited, and very expensive compared to other resorts in area eg Sorrentto. Also bigger distance from Sorrentto than expected. An hour on bus, which are infrequent in September, and packed. Last one back, 6pm!Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We loved our time in Ravello so much to see and do in the Amalfi coast, if you are going to drive be mindful of the busy winding roads, we pretty much walked everywhere but buses and taxis are available and Vespa’s can be hired if your up for an adventure.Guest review byDainaAustralia
