To stay at the gazebo and listen the grasshoppers in the night was so relaxing! The breakfast is fabulous with fresh juice, fruits, pastries and variety of main course. The restaurant in the evenings is remarkable with its romantic atmosphere, live Balinese music and high quality. This hotel is definitely a gem in Sanur! We will come back with pleasure! The hotel was in a good position right on the beach, the staff were helpful and friendly. I had a small medical incident not relating to the hotel and ended up in hospital for 2 days, a representative from the hotel came to visit me, bringing a box of complimentary fruit from the Mercure. He also arranged a courtesy car to collect me the following day and take me back to the hotel, and arranged a later check out from 12:00- to 2:00 pm complimentary, I would certainly recommend the Mercure in Sanur.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 10.0

Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to look around. Everyone we met or talked to were very friendly and kind. Highly recommend. Like that the beach was not as congested with human traffic compared to some other spots. Good stretch of walking trail along the beach. The beach itself has a lot of debris, perhaps due to aftermath of flood from week before. Wish there is more selection of local food. Denpasar is often overlooked and yet has so much to offer. There is history, culture, good food and places with open space, great views and room to walk if you know where to look. It's also a great base from which you can visit other areas and enjoy unique experiences with little travel time. It was easy to get around but little to do nearby. A great turtle conservation centre that will keep most people occupied for up to an hour. Absolutely loved Denpasar, you felt that you were amongst the local of Bali and it was nice to see this part of Bali.
