This establishment is phenomenal, the staff, the comfort(bed, pillows, linen, bathroom), the quietness, the breakfast and lunch, the pool and last but not least the location which is very central and less then 15 minutes by scooter from most attractions & restaurants. Their recommended restaurants, beach clubs and beaches are absolutely amazing and was very helpful for us to have a peaceful vacation! We will definitely be back! A big thank you to the staff who knows how to make this place memorable!

Everything was just perfect, first of all, the stuff is amazing and that's the main value. But in addition to that, there is a beautiful super-stylish hotel and rooms (all is brand new and of a very good quality), cozy atmosphere, great food, and scenery and sunsets that you'll never forget. Best hotel experience so far, in general, not only in Bali. Beautiful property, clean and well taken care of. The rooms are big, breakfast is good and the staff is the best. Special thanks to Aditia, Eka and Yuli from the reception, Dela for taking care of us during our lovely candle dinner and breakfast and Ketut for being the best driver, so attentive and caring during our day trip around Ubud. Me and my husband spent a week there, we had a room with a bath at the balcony - it was great and it was enough privacy. The room is very clean, stylish and cozy. We enjoyed a pool at the lobby. The design of hotel is great - minimalistic with natural materials. The view to the jungle from a hotel is beautiful and peaceful, we liked it. The Campuhan Ridge Walk is really close to the location.

An Island Dream

The dream destination of Bali is where volcanic landscape meets lush rice terraces and pristine beaches. Not to mention the fantastic surfing, cheap shopping and pervading spirituality that have made this Indonesian island a long-time favourite for backpackers.

The island’s capital is Denpasar in the south, but its surf and party capital is nearby Kuta. Swaying palm trees line the beach here and many more cover the grounds of the Bali hotels on the beach in more exclusive Seminyak to the north.

On the island’s north coast, Pemuteran beach offers lovely views of the sloping mountains heading towards the Bali Sea.     I have travelled through the whole of Indonesia, and this is literally the best place you will get (for such a low price)! Super clean (no sewage smell as literally everywhere else), feeling 100% safe all the time, cool architecture and design (luxuriously youthful, with the pool, common areas - everything well maintained). Location is incredible - Kuta can be noisy and chaotic, but this one is on a quiet little street (but only 20 meters from the main street), and the beach is just a short walk from the inn (I went surfing twice a day (3min walk), everything else is less than a minute walk from the inn - shops, restaurants...). The staff is 1st class - SUPER kind, they are always helpful, making sure the facilities are spotless throughout the whole day and making sure the guests are feeling well. Special mention to the amazing Miss Lefiana, the hotel manager who made sure I felt at home, being extremely professional yet kind. Wherever I went for several days throughout my travel on Bali (Ubud, Canggu, Lombok ...) I kept coming back to Cara Cara ❤️

    It was nice for a few days ,weather wasn't great because it is tropical but it.means it is lush and green . We went to the elephant sanctuary and monkey forest which were both great . There are lots of bars and good places to eat in ubud itself. Barter at the markets you can get someone good deals . We did the bali swing which was fun

    The location is very convenient, especially if you're flying...

    The location is very convenient, especially if you're flying in or out—just a short distance from the airport. The staff were friendly, and the room was quite spacious for a solo traveler. I appreciated the small touches like bottled water, coffee, sugar, and tea, plus a nice terrace. On the downside, breakfast wasn’t included, the towel looked a bit dirty (possibly due to its color), and there’s no elevator. The pool water didn’t seem very clean, and the air conditioning wasn’t as cold as expected. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you’re looking for something simple and close to the airport, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

    Canggu has a nice mix of things for every age group.

    Canggu has a nice mix of things for every age group. It has wonderful cafes (Milk and Madu), beach clubs (La Brisa), restaurants (Longtime; Lulu’s), clubs and bistros (Margaret bistro). There’s also yoga, fitness and spas. It ticks all the boxes. Just be mindful when ordering salads, vegetable juice or iced drinks from certain places, as the tap water is not potable. It is also a short distance away from Seminyak (which has a lot of shopping; our kid loves places like Stroberi, Kids à gogo and Candyland).

    Seminyak has so much to see and do, we were not short of places to eat and it was so easy with the family to walk out and find somewhere. Our favourite was Amici as the terrace area is relaxed garden feel and the kids were comfortable so made meal times easier. We loved Kudeta beach club, there was a family day when we went so face painting and lots of activities for them to join in with.

    Uluwatu is much more expensive and luxury compared to the rest of Bali. The place is under a massive construction renovation, there are construction site everywhere so it will be very different in a couple of years. We enjoyed our 4 days there but there is definetly less activities except for luxurious cliff restaurant and beach clubs.

    The hotel was in a good position right on the beach, the staff were helpful and friendly. I had a small medical incident not relating to the hotel and ended up in hospital for 2 days, a representative from the hotel came to visit me, bringing a box of complimentary fruit from the Mercure. He also arranged a courtesy car to collect me the following day and take me back to the hotel, and arranged a later check out from 12:00- to 2:00 pm complimentary, I would certainly recommend the Mercure in Sanur.

    Unfortunately , NP seems to have far too many visitors for what the road infrastructure can handle . The roads to all the local sightseeing hotspots are not wide enough for oncoming vehicle to pass each other without driving on the shoulder of the road ( if it exists ) and constantly causing further damage ,. The roads surfaced are very badly broken a terribly pot- holed . Vehicle journeys to the popular destinations take an inordinately long time with traffic banked up while cars try to pass each other when they can . On the plus ; the restaurants and beach clubs and bars serve excellent food and live music nightly was easy to find . And entertaining . The coastline scenery is fantastic . Itis why so many people make trip . The fast ferry services from Sanur to NP are very good and only 30 minutes .

    We liked the central location in Legian.

    We liked the central location in Legian. Hawkers should not attend hotel, this is rest time from shopping and bartering. Pad on Bene was our favourite place to eat anytime. Good food.Fat Tony’s burgers great. Water BOM amazing, our son went 4 times during our stay with great water slides. Traffic congestion to Changu and Ubud was horrendous. Took 2 hours for such a small distance.

    Love at first sight ten years ago.

    Love at first sight ten years ago. Far away from all huzzle and buzz of Southern Bali, Kuta/ Seminyak, Denpasar-areas that were surprisingly flooded this very time. so we were away from rain and catastrophies, happily exploring the new roads, watching Saraswati processions, eating us through the islands many warungs and resturants. Really cosy and fun stay, Dream bech is a must-do!

    We spent two nights at the end of our holiday in this area. It was not for us. The area is dominated by large resorts and the main activities centre around surfing, or hanging out in a pricey resort/bar, or perhaps viewing artifical tourist sights. Admittedly some resorts are very nice and have nice views but it's not really my style of holiday to spend several hundred dollars to lounge on a sunbed on the coast. There are plenty of higher end places to eat in this area, but I didn't go to Indonesia to eat western food. The Indonesian options feel very samey and were better in other areas with more Indonesian diners. Even Ubud with its hordes of people felt more authentically like Bali than this area does. In all, if you want a resort style holiday or are a wealthy surfer then this is the area for you. If you want to mosey around and get a feel for Bali it is not. For other watersports, it would be better to go north e.g. for diving/snorkelling. Or go to another island altogether.
