We really enjoyed from our experience. The hotel has an opportunity to have free taxi in 5 km which is very comfortable for Bali. The most fascinating thing was the employees, they were very friendly and they have created the huge difference between Onaya and the other good hotel. I insistly suggest to visit Onaya and we are looking forward to come back there :)

Everything was just perfect, first of all, the stuff is amazing and that's the main value. But in addition to that, there is a beautiful super-stylish hotel and rooms (all is brand new and of a very good quality), cozy atmosphere, great food, and scenery and sunsets that you'll never forget. Best hotel experience so far, in general, not only in Bali. Beautiful property, clean and well taken care of. The rooms are big, breakfast is good and the staff is the best. Special thanks to Aditia, Eka and Yuli from the reception, Dela for taking care of us during our lovely candle dinner and breakfast and Ketut for being the best driver, so attentive and caring during our day trip around Ubud. The staff at this resort were absolutely excellent, and made it a very relaxing experience for us. Shoutout Suzanne and the rest of the staff for taking extra care with my boyfriend’s nut allergy and making us feel very comfortable. The rooms were beautiful, and we felt the spa and food were good value. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a calmer, more romantic or relaxing holiday!

An Island Dream

The dream destination of Bali is where volcanic landscape meets lush rice terraces and pristine beaches. Not to mention the fantastic surfing, cheap shopping and pervading spirituality that have made this Indonesian island a long-time favourite for backpackers.

The island’s capital is Denpasar in the south, but its surf and party capital is nearby Kuta. Swaying palm trees line the beach here and many more cover the grounds of the Bali hotels on the beach in more exclusive Seminyak to the north.

On the island’s north coast, Pemuteran beach offers lovely views of the sloping mountains heading towards the Bali Sea.     Staff were fabulous. Location exactly what we wanted, quiet and very relaxing. The staff were very attentive to our every needs, and went above and beyond. We would stay here again for sure.     The resort is amazingly beautiful. The pictures don’t capture the feeling of serenity, one with nature and bliss that you get when you are there. We stayed in Tent 2 and the views to the jungle were breathtaking. Although it rained continuously while we were there, we filled our time with massages and view watching from our bed.

    It was nice for a few days ,weather wasn't great because it is tropical but it.means it is lush and green . We went to the elephant sanctuary and monkey forest which were both great . There are lots of bars and good places to eat in ubud itself. Barter at the markets you can get someone good deals . We did the bali swing which was fun

    The location is very convenient, especially if you're flying in or out—just a short distance from the airport. The staff were friendly, and the room was quite spacious for a solo traveler. I appreciated the small touches like bottled water, coffee, sugar, and tea, plus a nice terrace. On the downside, breakfast wasn’t included, the towel looked a bit dirty (possibly due to its color), and there’s no elevator. The pool water didn’t seem very clean, and the air conditioning wasn’t as cold as expected. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you’re looking for something simple and close to the airport, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

    Canggu has a nice mix of things for every age group. It has wonderful cafes (Milk and Madu), beach clubs (La Brisa), restaurants (Longtime; Lulu’s), clubs and bistros (Margaret bistro). There’s also yoga, fitness and spas. It ticks all the boxes. Just be mindful when ordering salads, vegetable juice or iced drinks from certain places, as the tap water is not potable. It is also a short distance away from Seminyak (which has a lot of shopping; our kid loves places like Stroberi, Kids à gogo and Candyland).

    Seminyak has so much to see and do, we were not short of places to eat and it was so easy with the family to walk out and find somewhere. Our favourite was Amici as the terrace area is relaxed garden feel and the kids were comfortable so made meal times easier. We loved Kudeta beach club, there was a family day when we went so face painting and lots of activities for them to join in with.

    Uluwatu is much more expensive and luxury compared to the rest of Bali. The place is under a massive construction renovation, there are construction site everywhere so it will be very different in a couple of years. We enjoyed our 4 days there but there is definetly less activities except for luxurious cliff restaurant and beach clubs.

    The hotel was in a good position right on the beach, the staff were helpful and friendly. I had a small medical incident not relating to the hotel and ended up in hospital for 2 days, a representative from the hotel came to visit me, bringing a box of complimentary fruit from the Mercure. He also arranged a courtesy car to collect me the following day and take me back to the hotel, and arranged a later check out from 12:00- to 2:00 pm complimentary, I would certainly recommend the Mercure in Sanur.

The roads to all the local sightseeing hotspots are not wide enough for oncoming vehicle to pass each other without driving on the shoulder of the road ( if it exists ) and constantly causing further damage ,. The roads surfaced are very badly broken a terribly pot- holed . Vehicle journeys to the popular destinations take an inordinately long time with traffic banked up while cars try to pass each other when they can . On the plus ; the restaurants and beach clubs and bars serve excellent food and live music nightly was easy to find . And entertaining . The coastline scenery is fantastic . Itis why so many people make trip . The fast ferry services from Sanur to NP are very good and only 30 minutes .

    We liked the central location in Legian.

    We liked the central location in Legian. Hawkers should not attend hotel, this is rest time from shopping and bartering. Pad on Bene was our favourite place to eat anytime. Good food.Fat Tony’s burgers great. Water BOM amazing, our son went 4 times during our stay with great water slides. Traffic congestion to Changu and Ubud was horrendous. Took 2 hours for such a small distance.

    Love at first sight ten years ago.

    Love at first sight ten years ago. Far away from all huzzle and buzz of Southern Bali, Kuta/ Seminyak, Denpasar-areas that were surprisingly flooded this very time. so we were away from rain and catastrophies, happily exploring the new roads, watching Saraswati processions, eating us through the islands many warungs and resturants. Really cosy and fun stay, Dream bech is a must-do!

    Nusadua is pretty quiet especially after being in Seminyak...

    Nusadua is pretty quiet especially after being in Seminyak and Legion. There are alot o resorts right along the coast and they can be super expensive. I stayed in a nice homestay less than 15 mins walk from the beach and right near the Conrad Resort. The beach is great there are ample areas to swim and pretty much every resort allows visitors to use beach chairs and beach bars etc but don't wonder into the resort area itself or you will be told to get out! Plenty of places to eat or drink right along the beach and a large range of water activities on offer as well. Apart from the beach there are some nice bars, restaurants and warungs all within walking distance or short grab ride all offering good food and drink. I can recommend Pitanira restaurant (good food and service with no tax added), Small Warung for great local food and a wonderful family looking after you (cash only but very cheap) and Luck Budha Restaurant if your into watching the sport and a bit cheaper than the other sports bars and with better service. One thing it was impossible to get a grab car to from Nusadua back to Kuta at the end of my stay, so either have a driver arranged and download and use the Bluebird taxi app.
