- From US$258.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 6,028 reviewsThe ambience of the entire places was very relaxing. It was a perfect weekend getaway from the hustles of city life. The hotel was surrounded by lush greenery and the great hospitality of all the staff made our staycation a memorable one. Plus points for the food, right from the snack bar, to the scrumptious dinner and a great buffet breakfast. It made us wanting more, but we were so full. The newly renovated Finnish sauna was very relaxing after a long work week. The pools were well maintained and on the whole the property was very clean and comfortable.Guest review byMiriamHungary

Remarkable town center featuring a Ferris wheel on the riverbank. The zoo is delightful, boasting a diverse collection of animals. I recommend purchasing animal feed at the entrance - feeding the giraffes is an unforgettable experience. Additionally, a small show program adds to the charm.Guest review byOlhaAustria - 10.0

The city of Sopron is located on the Austrian border, near Lake Fertő. Sopron is known for its colorful houses, rich in historic buildings, cobbled streets, museums and galleries. The Old Town is a lovely pedestrian zone, small enough to be discovered by foot. The most iconic landmark for the city of Sopron is the city’s Fire Tower. One of the most fabulous buildings is the Storno House. There are many great restaurants in Sopron, worth a visit if you're in the area!Guest review byK BeverlyUnited States - 10.0

The town is nicely situated near Szigetkoz, which is the island in the Danube with excellent nature, pleasant for hiking, riding the bicycle or canoe trip. The town center is small but picturesque, with the Leitha river running through. It also has a small castle with some university buildings. Special attractions are the Flexum thermal bath and spa facility. Although all this should be a great potential to the turism, there is no evidence of much effort to promote it. In the Tourist office, there is literally just one multilingual sort of tourist guide to the region. Others are mostly in hungarian, with no relations to the more information for e.g. renting the bicycles or kanoos. Tourist office could only offer us one telephone number of the local store who also rents bikes. The internet presentation of one of the local providers about canoe tours is almost useless and outdated. The second one is only in hungarian. The restorans close at 9:30 PM and the only bar in Centrum is open only from Thursday to Sunday. The Flexum thermal bath is nice but the service is mostly unfriendly, apart from the lack of foreign languages. You could book an entrance ticket and later realise that one of the pools is closed for "one, two or maybe three days", without any prior information and no excuse or refund. Some pools are dirty, with mold on the bottom. Some parts of the Flexum are newly decorated but others are old and outdated. It looks as if it is in a continuous renovation.Guest review byIlijaGermany - 10.0

Zalakaros is a small, cozy town that’s both beautiful and impeccably maintained. It’s the kind of place you just want to stay and soak in; there’s a charming, relaxed vibe with everyone in vacation mode, enjoying the moment without a rush. The resort-town atmosphere is delightful, and every corner feels inviting and peaceful.Guest review byЮлияHungary - 8.0

We visited in November so it was cold weather (luckily it was dry). There are some good restaurants and coffee/cake shops nearby the hotel and reasonably priced. We visited the cemetery to find the grave of a relative of ours who had recently died. The cemetery was FULL of flowers which had been placed on the graves on 1st November (All Saints Day)... I have never seen such a colourful cemetery. Interestingly there are military graves of Hungarians (First World War) and Germans and Russians (mostly March and April 1945)... they are all well kept. On Sunday mornings there is a large car boot type sale at the rear of the covered market... worth a look. The indoor market is only open on mornings. It is well attended by locals buying fruit, vegetables and meat but also enjoying a drink, a pastry or a cooked sausage with bread etc. It was too cold to walk about too much. I would not recommend arriving by train as the station is outside the centre and there are no taxis there. The coach station is busy, located right in the centre of town and there are usually two or three taxis at the nearby rank. We came and went via coach from Budapest. About £15 per person each way. It is a good reliable service. Zalakaros (a spa town about ten miles away) is worth a visit if you enjoy hot water leisure facilities... it is famous for it... the Americans drilled for oil but found water at almost boiling point... they reckon the town has earned more from hot water than it ever could have from oil!Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom
