The location made total sense with the architecture of the property. Everything up to smallest detail was very well taken care of. Dexamenes is not the typical modern hotel, that tries to sell a more sustainable,local, environmental friendly approach, is an experience that will take you by the hand and let you enjoy what it has to offer. Every corner, each furniture, each plant has a potion which fits with the concept. The stuff is very familiar with their role, friendly and ready to assist you without unecessary efforts for „too much“ politeness. Finally, the food was tasty, qualitative with carefully selected ingredients, while keeping the minimal and simple character of the concept. My girlfriend and myself are quite happy visiting Dexamenes and we definitely recommend it.

Everything :) I stayed in the "non-deluxe" sea view room and it was above my expectations. The lobby and renovated half of the hotel are absolutely a gem, with clean, efficient design and modern amenities that merge luxury and comfort. Breakfast is abundant, the cafe' is always open, the restaurant is a great value for more traditional Greek dishes, the pool was one of my favourite things on this entire trip through Greece, the bed is extremely comfortable, the AC is super quiet, and staff is kinda + helpful. The owner, Georgios, is there to greet you and is dedicated to make sure that everything is perfect at all times; genuine hospitality. Resort is located in a nice cove with both sand and rocks; you can walk around it and swim out to a little island. There are also castle ruins on the hill behind, which is an easy walk (that can be extended to the volcanic terrains and olive groves towards Katakolo). Ended up staying for 3 nights and it was the first time I enjoyed the hotel so much that I literally didn't leave its grounds. Can't wait to go back :)

Great short stay because of the location, for a 3* hotel it was great value for money. It is a family-run business and it still has the Greek hospitality old time feeling. Check-in was quick and smooth, reception lady was very kind. Our room was basic but very clean and smelled nice. Bed sheets were soft and bedding great for a night sleep. Room even had toiletries and bottle of water. Breakfast was basic but nothing was missing, everything you need - eggs, toast, cheeses, cold cuts, veggies, fruits, yoghurt, spoon sweets. Definitely best choice if you arrive late and need to catch ferry next morning.

    I love this place, this hotel and its staff! Every time I come here from a big noisy city, full of stress and work, to recover in this paradise. Everything is provided for this: excellent comfortable rooms with a view of the beautiful sea, a sandy clean beach, always clear pure water without jellyfish and other sea troubles, comfortable and soft sun loungers and snow-white towels, wonderful blue pools, friendly and welcoming staff (professionals work here!) and healing magical nature: sand, pine trees, flowers, olive trees... This is a place where everything is thought out and nothing irritates. The room has everything: a coffee machine and a kettle, huge mirrors and a small mirror for applying cosmetics - exactly at the level you need, a large bathroom, a huge balcony, where it is so nice to relax in the shade on a hot afternoon. By the way, there are many families with children of all ages here, but you will not hear them on the beach: all the children frolic all day in the water park on the other side, so the beach itself is perfectly quiet. Separate, but very important, attention should be paid to the SPA complex - it is wonderful! In a couple of massage sessions, you will again become happy and balanced, your body will become light, as if you were no more than 17 years old. The best are lymph massage by Christina and classic massage with oils by Marcella - these are wonderful masters. I also definitely recommend you hydromassage in a pool with sea water with Zeta (Georgia). You will receive colossal fun, especially if you are together with a partner or a friends! Finally, I would like to write about the food: there are excellent cooks here! You will get everything you want: the most delicious dishes and huge selection - everything fresh and everything unusually delicious! You will eat heartily, but you will not gain weight, because there is a great balance of healthy and quality food. Overall, it's a magical place and I recommend it without any hesitation.

    Everything was fine: the flat is really close to the beach, just few minutes walking and 40min driving to Olympia.The owner was kind, she gave us more blankets with no problem, easy comunication. The apartament was clean ans fournished, as in the picture. Maybe the only thing was the kitchen: it's fine for few days or if you don't cook so much, otherwise could be bit difficult, as there is just one electrical cooker.

    The Villa was excellent with a unique view from the veranda and also the way to reach the private and beautiful private beach!!! Mrs Eftichia and Mr. Panos were excellent hostess , giving us vegetable from their garden!! Very clean and very comfortable villa!! We really enjoyed our stay and the quiet area!!     Olympia town is quite small but has some very nice tavernas, cafes and ice cream shops mostly under shady trees. The Main Street has a string of souvenir shops, some of which are quite stylish. We found a little museum dedicated to the inventions of Archimedes, a good spot for an hour or so.

    Zacharo is really, really Greek and there seemed to be absolutely nothing happening. I figure you have three alternatives to fill your time: swim or stare at the sea during the day, sit at a cafe and gossip at night, or get through War & Peace.

    see previous comments. Arkoudi is a lovely village, great beach and tavernas. Only comment is that you need to have a car because there are no buses to enable exploration further afield and taxis can be expensive. However we really enjoyed our stay

    Never saw Kyllini we we’re route to zante and got dumped by easyJet in Athens made our way to Kyllini for the night ( thanks CHRISTOS) then got there ferry across Monday morning beware of easyJet if you’re just booking a flight if anything goes wrong they will dump you in a foreign country and leave you they only look after package people

    Great location, if you have a car, to get to Olympia. Lovely town square with great selection of restaurants to eat at - mainly Italian themed as opposed to Greek. Beaches are not well advertised as to where to park near to them. Suggest 2 day stay - one day Olympia and one day beach.

    Amazing archeological site and museum.

    Amazing archeological site and museum. The town is very nice, quiet, with a lot of shops and restaurants. I booked an entry at 5PM and the site and museum were not crowded. I would recommend that for a better experience. Stays open until 8pm so plenty of time.

    Zakharo is a small town near Kakovatos the little village where the Ostria Hotel Beach is located indeed. Zakharo is fantastic. The town's activity is between a beach town with restaurants, cafés, stores and an agricultural town with a lot of trucks and tractors crossing by. The bus station is not far from the center. I also walked on the Beach until the Ostria Hotel. It is quite a long walk. There are a few restaurants, the sunset is amazing.

    Katakolon is the main port for cruise liners where guests are visiting Olympia and seems geared up largely for this purpose. It is quite a pleasant seaside town but nothing exceptional. When we were there there were no cruise ships in port and it was very quiet. All of the seafront restaurants and bars were open so we had our pick, but a lot of the shops were close for most of the time we were there. Olympia is about a 30 minute drive from here.

    Arkudi is a small calm village on the sea and has everything needed for a nice holidays. Nature around is beautiful, beaches are sandy with clean water. Food is very good. Prices are normal. Recomended!
