- From US$344.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,505 reviewsRestaurant food was excellent...in fact exceptionally good. Also the wine selection was superb with expert advice at hand with a expert Sommelier (Louis in Brasserie was brilliant and looked after us amazingly). The service overall service from check-in to out was genuinely welcoming and accommodating and they team went out of their way to make our stay memorable. I have stayed here a number of times and frankly, it's become my go to when I visit my relatives nearby. That said, it is so good , I would make an exception and deivert to this hotel no matter what business or other travel needs I have in London or the South. ` The view of the airport runway is worth paying the extra 25 GBP as it's great to see the provate jets and VIPs coming and going. I want to congratulate the Aviator for the quality for their service and the selection of their young staff who I suspect will all be the best hoteliers in the business with this experience and training.Guest review bySpencerSweden
- From US$417.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 620 reviewsMe and my daughter stayed for a night for her birthday. It was the most magical place we have ever stayed. The location was stunning, the hotel beautiful, the staff so friendly especially Tom (he’s fabulous) and the food was fantastic. It was perfect from start to finish. They added birthday banners, a balloon, card and shortbread box which was the cutest little surprise. Every little thing had such attention to detail. We are planning to stay again next summer. It was amazing Thank you so much 😊Guest review byJennaUnited Arab Emirates

Winchester’s history, the Cathedral has to be right up there, it was incredible and would definitely go back, there were some beautiful walks nearby, along the river Itchen, and very clean. It’s very easy getting around, the train station is minutes away( 7 minutes to the airport 😉) So many pkaces to eat, The Vine did an amazing veggie breakfast and loved the Royal Oak pub, oldest in England.Guest review bySoniaJersey - 8.0

Fir tree lodge room 8 not fit for purpose.
Fir tree lodge room 8 not fit for purpose. Noise heard from neighbouring rooms and bed stuck against wall! Whole hotel is very dated and a bit too business/conference based rather than comfy/cosy country hotel which it should be. Staff very friendly though and breakfast was enjoyable.Guest review byKevinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Saturday market is worth a visit and there are lots of places to stop for coffee, breakfast and lunch. Walk down the cobbled street to the harbour and enjoy watching the boats. There are also quite a few independent shops. Just along the coast there is a nice walk along Hurst Spit to the fort or you can get the ferry. Lots of walks around nearby Brockenhurst too.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There are loads of cafés and places to eat. The White Rabbit is a nice pub with an extensive menu and reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly. There are some lovely walks on the doorstep and some lovely places to visit if you want to travel a bit further. Lymington is a short drive away and is a lovely town.Guest review byKings - 10.0

I loved my stay at the Alton House Hotel, as I have never been to Alton before the staff were polite friendly and extremely helpful, I also made two new friends whilst I was there which is truly fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to any one that asked as in my eye's there is no better place or people.Guest review byRobb - 8.0

The town is very quiet and even on a Saturday seems to be dying on it's feet but there are numerous pubs and several reasonably priced restaurants (we were very happy with Frango's and The Golden Dragon. The Andover Tap is worth a call for real ale drinkers. on the positive side, there were no gangs roaming the streets and we felt very safe, Also, their British Legion(open to visitors) has music on a Saturday night and has been very well refurbished. The staff , members we met and the Secretary Sarah were very welcoming. We'd say that Andover is better used as a good base for travelling round the area.Guest review byGregUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It is a very nice and pleasant place to visit.
It is a very nice and pleasant place to visit. We ate mostly at Greggs and at Welcome Break. We had some work to finish so could not explore much of the area. Walking around the place was fun. Even driving was not stressful at all. Esp coz people respect and follow traffic rules here.Guest review bySoumyaUnited Arab Emirates
