Charlotte is a star - no one else multi-tasks, like Charlotte! Rooms are unique & somewhat quirky- but that's what makes it special. Food is superb and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I very much appreciate the breakfast option for express take away as I'm always on the run and usually leave way too early to get anything. A very nice stay for a decent price. I would recommend it, and I am definitely coming back next time I'm around. :)Guest review byKristina ErinCzech Republic

I was house hunting so didn't see to much of spalding except for a walk round on my last day. I thoroughly recommend Turners fish n chips. It was so tasty with the perfect amount of batter and a very reasonable price.Guest review byBrendaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A lovely little place. Very quaint with some independent shops, restaurants and cafes. I used it as a base to visit Burghley house, Grimsthorpe, castle and Peterborough cathedral. Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast buffet that was all a traveller would need. Nice clean tidy town. Loved the flower planting. Interesting shops and little alley ways. Easy to get around. I ate at “the grill” in Abbey road which was excellent. I also enjoyed my visit to the abbey church and especially grimsthorpe castle.Guest review byPUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is a recently refurbished old hotel which has had no expense spared to bring it up to a very high standard. The ambience is excellent, high level of finishing and comfort. Wansford is a charming old village which is very quiet. The hotel sits next to the River Nene giving a lovely peaceful rural feel. A great place to meet friends and stay.Guest review byKevin JQ FordUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Perfect location for an overnight stay after the Battle Proms at Burghley House. Early check in was fabulous as we had a nice lunch and a short nap before our evening event. Nice selection of beers and sandwiches. The rooms were comfy, tea/coffee set up and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful! Will definitely stay here again.Guest review bygologoHBUnited States - 10.0

It’s the owners of Bluebell that make it special, the room we had in the little courtyard was small but had everything you could wish for and very clean. Helpston and the surrounding villages are fabulous very little traffic. The purpose of our visit was to visit Burghley House for a picnic in the park, this was also fabulous free to enter and that is very rare these days, you obviously have to pay too visit the House and into the Gardens but we had a wonderful visit highly recommend both Bluebell inn and Burghley HouseGuest review byJoyceUnited Kingdom
