Lovely little hotel in quiet Grandtully. We enjoyed the food and stay at this small inn, and walked one afternoon along the river bank to the next town as well as visited (the outside at least - as it was closed until 2 PM) the nearby Menzies Castle.

A Truly Enchanting Stay I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this wonderful property yesterday, and I only wish I had booked for longer! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome that made me feel instantly at home. The property itself is enchanting—beautifully maintained, thoughtfully designed, and full of charm. Every detail seemed curated to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. What truly stood out to me, though, was the comfort of the room. I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time, thanks to the incredibly cozy bed and peaceful surroundings. It was exactly the rejuvenating experience I needed. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I am already looking forward to my next visit and will be sure to stay longer next time! Sincerely, Violette Marie Jane Gerard

Great location for a stop in Pitlochry. We had a car so drove into town but its not a far walk. Nice little town for an hour of shopping and to pickup picnic supplies for Loch Muick. Included Dinner was great, breakfast too. Best place in this town to stay. Old manor house, it was very elegant.

This was a great location to stop on our drive between Edinburgh and Inverness. We enjoyed a quick bite in the restaurant before settling in for the night. I only wish we had stayed an extra night to enjoy more of the property. The bed was very comfortable and the views over the Loch were stunning.

Everything! McKays hotel is right at the heart of the picturesque town of Pitlochry, with all the shops and a lot of eateries at a stone's throw. We stayed in a superior room at the extension, which was recently renovated, spacious, and with a modern and sparkling clean bathroom. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Genuinely could not fault this place! It’s like a little piece of paradise and, despite having lodges either side of our lodge (we were in lodge 2) it felt like you were a million miles away from everything and everyone. Lodge was comfortable, cozy, romantic and immaculate and had every little home comfort you could need. The views were gorgeous and I can’t rate the hot tub high enough. I felt so relaxed from the minute I checked in and that feeling continued until the minute we checked out. Nikki was great at answering my billion questions in the lead up to our stay and was always polite and accommodating. If we could have stayed forever we would have. Highly recommend!

It is a lovely place to visit and walk around and explore. Lovely riverside walks and good shopping opportunities in the centre. But once the shops close, it becomes almost deserted and you hardly see anyone around. The highlight of the city is the very interesting and attractive Perth Museum (which is also free of charge to enter) with its unique and intriguing exhibits and its great cafeteria. The nearby Branklyn Gardens and the Greyfriars graveyard are also worth a visit The people are also quite friendly.

Property was fabulous. Lovely rooms and staff. Breakfast was the best with lots of options. Dinner needs changing up with specials for dinner and dessert. Was same menu every day. Room was a bit stuffy. Need portable fans. We had a window that opened but did not really help. Swimming pool and spa was lovely. Staff was amazing. Shout out to Annia who found a tick on my leg during a massage. No idea wher it came from as i stayed on the path.

Nestled amongst the mountains with paths and tracks leading all over what’s not to like? Sadly, the general facilities here have gone. No shop for example. One place did have a sign out for coffee, but there could be an opportunity here for someone. Worth climbing up the Cateran Trail heading south to get stunning views looking down on the village. Also visit the stone circle, old bridge and the church. Just soak up the atmosphere!
