- From US$363.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 5,250 reviewsFor what I think is a 3 star hotel, Glen Mhor is a cut above the rest. We loved the cleanliness of the rooms, the well done furnishings and the lovely linen. The river view room was big and the bed was extremely comfortable, with the river view being better than expected. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely welcoming. The continental breakfast buffet paired with an al a carte hot breakfast offering added the extra level of Luxury you don’t get from your general 3 star hotel. We never thought anything of Inverness but we will definitely be going back just to stay in this amazing hotel!Guest review byBradleyIreland
- From US$275.08 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.1Good - What previous guests thought, 2,964 reviewsThe location was excellent. Right next to the train and bus station. Lots of restaurants around. The room was cosy and nice. The bathroom was big, and everything was cleaned every day. There was a problem with the bolier the first morning, but theybsort it out fairly quickly during the day, and after that, everything worked jurt fine, and heating in the room was perfect. Breakfast was great because it was buffet style and had a wide selection of food, including vegetarian options The hotel is old, but I think that it is pretty well maintained, and it has its own charm. I would stay here again.Guest review byAlejandra Espinoza CChile

Location is beautiful, the lodges are so cute and right on the water, each with private hot tubs! We walked around the premises, rented electric bikes and did a 30km route that starts right on the property, so convenient. They bring you breakfast to your door every morning in this little basket.Guest review byMarius LazaRomania

Only had a day there but went on a boat trip in the morning. Nice little shopping centre and the church was worth a visit. Lots of shops, pubs and eating places. Had a very nice dinner at Crannog restaurant. We were too late to see the Museum as it was just shutting at 4.00 pm.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I love this neck of the woods.
I love this neck of the woods. Plenty to do if you are an outdoors person or just want a break from busy places. It is a nice laid back location where there is a lot less hassle. Lots of nice food places - either restaurants or take-aways and plenty of shops where you could buy your own food if you don't want to go out. Highly recommended. If the weather is not so good there are plenty of lovely places you can drive to within 45 minutes.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Skye is beautiful but expensive. Lodging is hard to find, expensive. Restaurants are crowded. The weather is..the weather. We hit lots of rain. People told us unusually bad for September. But so much to see there.Guest review byRogerUnited States - 10.0

Our place was just down around the corner from great restaurants and shops. The ferry is docked there. Fishing boats and guided tour boats. We were lucky enough to have car so we drove out to the lighthouse which was picture perfect. On our way home to our home away from home (CEOL MARA) we stopped by chance at Rhueart Gallery . It was truly wonderful to meet James Hawkins , artist supreme .Guest review byBarbCanada - 2.0
A poor and unattractive place.
A poor and unattractive place. Most shops were empty and nothing was looked after, except a superb flower garden around a statue in a little square near the hotel. It was difficult to find somewhere nice to eat. Quite depressing environment.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart...
A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle is located just outside the village. The village itself is very pleasant with a beautiful village green which had a market on it the day we left. The Fiddlers Restaurant on the village green was a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. Urquhart Castle is well worth visiting with a great visitor centre and Loch Ness as a splendid backdrop to the stunning castle remains.Guest review byStephenHong Kong - 8.0
Lovely little shops to walk in and out of.
Lovely little shops to walk in and out of. You get to watch the loch in action with the four levels the boats have to go through to get to the next section. This is very interesting and a good place to watch this. There are many walks you can do along the Loch which are very picturesque.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

The lodge is set in an absolutely amazing spot, with stunning surroundings that make it a truly memorable location. However, we did feel that the price was quite high compared to the overall services offered. The dinner and breakfast areas lacked atmosphere and coziness, while the food itself was fine. Our room had a mattress with one side noticeably deeper from frequent seating, which made sleeping uncomfortable (especially since it was our only chance to rest for one night during our road trip). On the positive side, the personnel and the manager were all very kind and welcoming. That said, there seemed to be too few staff members at times to maintain the level of service one might expect at this price point. Overall, a beautiful place with great potential, but a few improvements could make it truly exceptional.Guest review byAnonymous
