A super comfortable, modern, and very cool room (waking up to an amazing view of London!) with great features (super large TV, coffee and tea, a good sized safe with internal charger, desk, etc). I also enjoyed the swimming pool (larger than it looks in the pictures) and the killer 24-hour gym with a breathtaking panoramic view from the 26th floor.

The Dorchester is more than just a hotel; it's an institution, a beacon of elegance in the heart of London. Our recent stay was nothing short of extraordinary, exceeding all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refined luxury. The staff's impeccable service was discreet yet attentive, anticipating our every need. The surprise upgrade to a suite was the cherry on top, transforming our stay into an unforgettable experience. The suite itself was a masterpiece of design, exuding timeless elegance with modern comforts. The spacious layout, plush furnishings, and breathtaking views of Hyde Park created a serene and indulgent haven. Every detail, from the exquisite linens to the state-of-the-art amenities, was meticulously curated. Beyond the luxurious accommodations, The Dorchester offers a plethora of world-class dining experiences. We indulged in afternoon tea at The Promenade, a truly delightful affair with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and an array of delectable pastries. The ambiance was simply enchanting, with live piano music setting the perfect tone. The hotel's prime location, just steps away from Hyde Park, provided easy access to some of London's most iconic attractions. However, we found ourselves reluctant to leave the comfort of The Dorchester, as it offered everything we could desire.

From the moment I arrived until my departure, my stay at Claridge’s Hotel in London was nothing short of spectacular. Celebrating my birthday in such an iconic establishment made my special day even more memorable. The hotel exudes elegance and charm, with its luxurious accommodations and impeccable service. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. A special shout-out to Amine, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. His attention to detail, kindness, and exceptional service truly stood out and added a personal touch to my birthday celebrations. The ambiance, the exquisite dining options, and the overall experience at Claridge’s have left a lasting impression on me. It’s clear why this hotel is a favorite among those who appreciate the finer things in life. I can confidently say that whenever I’m in London, Claridge’s will be my go-to destination. The location was perfect for flying out the next morning.

The location was perfect for flying out the next morning. We did choose to pay for the shuttle to Terminal 5, rather than haul our luggage on the free train. It's a very nice hotel, the room was small but comfortable for 1 night, and the beds were fine, though a little on the firm side as the English seem to like. We had a very nice Indian dinner at the Urban Brass conveniently located in the hotel lobby. The Indian choices were authentic and delicious, not overly spicy as Indian food goes. I think the Indian choices are better than the English side of the menu, as it is primarily Indian with a very friendly staff from India. I would recommend this hotel.

An update to my previous critical review, which was uploaded on 29 April. On 2 May, I received a message from the owner, apologising for the non response, advising that their colleague had found the hearing aids but "hadn''t told them." The owner sent a photo of them, then on my confirmation that they were my hearing aids, posted them to my home address, sending a confirmation of proof of posting. Delivered today. It does leave one or two questions, but the way the owner has acted since my review was posted is commendable. I think Booking.com may need to check a few things. The telephone number on the confirmation is the one the owner responds to when arriving, but subsequent calls to that number elicit the response that it has nothing to do with that property. The communication in the last few days comes from a different number.

The local subway was well used and we ate there. There was reasonable choice and hot drinks, which I didn't expect. Depending on what you like to eat, there are plenty of small eateries. Where we were, there was a station and many buses so connections are there to get around. Pleasant enough suburb.
