Only in Caen for one night but what we saw looked very nice.Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops around the hotel which itself located near the railway station. Would certainly go back and stay longer.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful town, great location to take a trip to Normandy beaches. The tapestries were moved to the UK and the Tapestry museum closed on Sept 1st for two years! Most restaurants were closed on Sunday and Monday and you definitely need a reservation for dinner if you want a good meal. some restaurants were closed on Tuesday too! If you take a full day tour of Normandy I would suggest staying the night at Bayeux because there is traffic at the end of the day heading back to Paris.Guest review bytoni - 8.0

Ouistreham is a ferry port - it is a small town, but a useful starting point for visiting attractions in the surrounding area. The Normandy landings beaches and sites that have associations with William the Conqueror are all easily reached from here. There are good fish restaurants in Ouistreham itself and in nearby coastal villages.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Looking online, Port-en-Bessin seemed a scenic little fishing port. Research showed lots of restaurants in close proximity of hotels. However visitors need to aware that almost the whole town closes on Sunday evenings and all of Monday making it difficult to find the ideal meal on those days. Also not impressed with restaurant quality - more like cafes -with little sophisticated dining opportunities - Moules and Burgers dominate most menus!Guest review byWallace - 10.0

If you are a history buff, Courseulles is a great location to explore the main D-Day sites. It is also a good spot for a relaxed family vacation as there are many interesting nature and architectural sites to visit and several excellent trekking trails in the area. As my trip was focused on the 80th D-Day anniversary, I hope to come back and experience the other attractions which Courseulles and the surrounding area offer.Guest review byMelShalevIsrael - 8.0

Could not walk between the twin beds as the gap was too small. Toilet was dirty. Only one tea bag and one capsule of milk and one sugar for a room booked for 2 people. One of the connecting doors to the neighbouring room was insecure. The restaurant is only open on 4 days of the week and not at weekends. Cannot believe this was a 3 star hotel. Should definitely lose that status. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Will never book a Kyriad again.Guest review byJENNIFERFrance - 10.0

This town is a perfect base to do the Normandy beaches, the museums and the Normandy countryside. Plenty of places to eat and quite a useful bus service along the coast. Not as touristy as some other places along the coast. Very near Point du Hoc, where the American Rangers stormed the coast. Well worth a visit but quite a walk although mostly flat and not much shelter on the way around. The museums in Vire Sur Mer and Omaha beach are interesting. The Calvados producer along that road is worth a visit as he has his own stories about the landings and the history of his property.Guest review byCarolbell2United Kingdom - 10.0

En route to Dieppe and proximity to D Day sites, traditional Normandy seaside hotel and restaurant. Good location, service and ambiance. Friendly welcome. Rooms modernised but on the smaller size as you would expect from such a hotel. RecommendedGuest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Abbeys are stunning, the town is flat so easy to walk around. There are regular markets, the Sunday one we went to was quite big with lots of fresh food. The harbour is a nice spot with a line of bars and restaurants nearby, my favourite being an Irish bar (O'Donnells) for a well kept pint (or three) of Guinness!Guest review byRaymondUnited Kingdom
