Great location. Ample free-parking just below the apartment, if you drive. There's a ski rack right outside the door (I cable-locked my skis to it cos the shared entrance isn't locked). There's a balcony you can use. It was clean and even had some cleaning products under the sink (I'd brought my own anyway). I took my own bedding so it was a super comfy, home-from-home!!

We stayed with a family of 3 people in this apartments during winter holidays. The apartments is clean, cozy, convenient with everything you need for a stay. The pictures of apartments totally correspond to reality: there are 3 small rooms to sleep, one kitchen with all needed utilities and big living room with dining table and leisure zone, 3 (!) bathrooms and 2 toilets. It was more than enough for 3 people, but it should be also OK for 6 people. The location of the apartments is nice, it is 5 minutes walk from the lift “Les Coshes” and 5 minutes walk from Sherpa. The big free parking zone is nearby. But the apartments is on the 4th floor without lift, so be ready to this. Ski room is on the 1st floor, it is small but it was ok for 2 skis and 1 snowboard. Also, I didn’t find any public transport except ski bus which work on weekends and take people from and to railway station in Landry. The landlord is very nice. He answered all the questions, provided with detailed instructions and even left a bottle of wine and a sausage in the fridge. It was a pleasant surprise! Another one was WI-FI (because it was in written that there would be no Wifi in the description of apartments on booking). So, I totally recommend this apartment, it is good value for money.

    Exceptional location, actual ski-in, ski-out and ski-school meeting point couldn’t be closer. Decent Spar and brilliant artisanal boulangerie within 5 mins walk, at least 2 bar/restaurants also within 5 mins. Staff friendly, were able to accommodate some requests our group had and were able to answer queries well. At least 2 kit hire locations within 5 mins although the one they have a deal with is not the closest one. Our apartment was large, clean and comfortable, very little noise.

    The hotel is perfect. Comfortable, clean and well-equipped rooms. The kitchen has all you need for your 1...2 weeks stay. The location is amazing - right near green (children's sloop) So it's easy to start your skiing day event with the smallest ones. The hotel has a restaurant and there are some restaurants around within 5 min walking asses. Good free parking right in front of the hotel closed only for hotel guests. There is also underground parking for an extra fee.

    We were a family of 18 in three rooms with young children. The situation of the rooms that we were given on one floor and close together was ideal. It meant any noise didn’t annoy other guests. The size of the 6/8 bed room meant we could all eat together in the evening. The swimming pool/spa area made the holiday extra special. Bread etc can be delivered to your door. Also the staff seemed super relaxed and happy to help.

    Great skiing for whole family at all levels. We were on a budget so cooked meals at our apartment and took a packed lunch. This worked well as weather was good for lunches. One day we lunched in the Salle HORS sac which was good and warm. Bar at Roquette closes too early for a last drink before descent at end of day!

    Definitely consider this small, traditional French village! It had everything we needed - wonderful restaurants and bars (with excellent staff), shops, a swimming pool and the most wonderful surroundings! The ski lift was excellent, ski hire convenient and we had all we needed for skiing. A car is probably a must - it really helps to have a car to reach the lift or drop people off for the lift, but there is a shuttle bus (although we didn't use it) which runs throughout the day. We had a fantastic time in Champagny-en-Vanoise.

    Nice village to be with plenty of amenities.

    Nice village to be with plenty of amenities. Would happily stay there again. Do some research on distance to the slopes, because a long walk can ruin a nice holiday. If you go for dinner, try A Tavola (Italian) and arrive before 19:00 to avoid the crowds.

    A small traditional French village with a handful of restaurants and bars. It’s not suitable for people who love apres ski as there is none but if you want to ski hard during the day and rest in the evenings then you will love this location.

    We've stayed in various European ski resorts over the past...

    We've stayed in various European ski resorts over the past 20 years and can honestly say that Champagny en Vanoise is one of the nicest. It's quiet (I think we had an exceptionally quiet week - covid and a lack of Brits probably being a factor). That said, it is the quintessential French Alpine village that is expanding. Within the next few years I can imagine it losing some of its historical charm. Bear in mind it's on the side of a mountain. There are some lovely local walks and the next commune of Champagny Le Haut provides dog sledding, cross country skiing and walking. Aprés is available but is geared more to sedate family/couples socialising rather than kids partying. Service to La Plagne and the Paradiski area is very quick on the gondola. The two reds back to the village each evening can be tricky but those not brave enough to try can return on the gondola.
