- From US$218.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,256 reviewsWe had a wonderful spacious room with twin beds (our request). This room had a hall as an entrance, a separate toilet, a small living room (with a couch bed if needed), again a room with twin beds and a wonderful spacious bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Large towels, bathrobes for the both of us, slippers and pool towels were supplied, ready to use and we did not need to ask for them. The beds were very comfortable. A big plus for that! Usually the hotel beds are too firm, these were perfect for us. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room, as a minifridge and a minisafe. Our room was in the annex building on the second floor (no lift) under the roof. Nice, cosy and climatized. The staff were professional and polite. We felt very welcome. The parking area is large and private, only to be shared with guests who come to play golf. We do not play golf but start to consider as the surroundings of the chateau and golfcourse are so beautiful. The swimmingpool and tenniscourt met all expectations. No disappointments!! The bar was as you expect in a old chateau, A lot of woodwork, a huge fireplace and cosy. The staff again friendly and welcoming. The same counts for the restaurant. A cosy atmosphere, wonderful food and superb wines. Although the wines are a bit expensive. The spa area is located in the former cellars/ vaces and breathe atmosphere of the old days in stylish new high standards. Breakfast is complete, fresh orange juice, cappuccino on demand and everything you could wish for (croissants, sweet rolls, baguettes, eggs, etc etc). We will surely return. And then not for a stopover, but to spend the weekend. A weekend to be spoilt. We look forward to that one.Guest review byMargaretha A.Netherlands

Lovely clean city can walk everywhere.
Lovely clean city can walk everywhere. Not much to see after 3 days at most unless you're filming a medieval period film or have to work or study. I say take a a late night walk through the city with the open empty pedestrian streets and no humans around. Quite impressive. But nah..not much else. Good afternoon stopover. Furthermore Dijon needs to let go of their co-dependent relationship with mustard. The seeds are no longer grown there. :) They are imported.Guest review byLaurieFrance - 10.0

Considered staying in Dijon, but happy to have chosen Beaune. Beaune doesn’t have the bigger city feel like Dijon, which was exactly what we were looking for. Easy access to many wineries without struggling with city traffic.Guest review byFrankUnited States - 10.0

The old town is small and quaint and is located along the river Saone. Old Town is easily walkable with the main area being about 10 x 12 city blocks in width with an additional newer and larger portion of town immediately to the south. It has nice historical charm and is centrally located between Paris, Geneva and Lyon. It took us about 1.5 hours in an Uber to get to town from the Lyon airport.Guest review byMarkMUnited States - 10.0

A hotel on the waterfront, Hotel Maxime, a lovely old, quaint, medieval town with quality shops, a delicious meal at Chez Maxim, altogether a delightful stay. We were only there for one night but wished we’d been able to stay longer and explore more. A town to be recommended😄😄Guest review bydavidSpain - 10.0
There are many, many places of interest to see and explore.
There are many, many places of interest to see and explore. For me, the highlights were the Cathedral and the historic churches such as St. Pierre and St. Etienne. In addition, I was glad that I made time for the Sanctuary of St. Bernadette and the Ducal Palace, which features a basement museum well worth the visit (although one only gets to see a tiny sliver of the Palace itself, and the rooms you do see contain nothing of interest). I spent a lot of time walking around taking pictures and thus ran out of time to do much else, sadly.Guest review byNYCarolinaSwitzerland - 10.0

We stop in Nuits St Georges on drives from UK to South of France. Its perfectly mid way, great location from the motorway and has plenty to offer. The town center has been updated since our last trip and the mix of traditional architecture and modern stone and fountains in the center of town work well together. There are a number of bars and we sat at a really great bar with a fabulous vibe drinking great draught beer and people watching. After the long drive from Calais to Nuits St George we decided to skip a restaurant and hit the local Carrefour supermarket for wine and picnic items, but, in the past we've eaten at local restaurants and there are plenty to chose from. Great place to stop, relax and rewind for the onward journey.Guest review byTina & DellFrance - 10.0
