A tiny serpentine road winds into the mountains, passing through a beautiful forest straight out of a fairytale. The views were breathtaking, the rooms spacious, the food excellent, and the atmosphere incredibly romantic—calm and quiet. I slept like a baby. I absolutely loved that breakfast was served in the room—no need to rush in the morning. Just wake up and enjoy the moment with your partner. We stayed for two nights but wished we had booked a bit longer. The staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, even after we checked out. Beautiful town. Fabulous river and weir. Plenty of good bars and restaurants. Be aware that the last Friday & Saturday of October is the Winter Fair (Feria). Restaurants are totally booked for lunch and dinners on both days. Best to make reservations well in advance. Surrounding Elizondo is amazing scenery and plenty of places to visit. This is a wonderful place to stay both short term and long term. We really loved everything about it. Alejandra, is fantastic, and created a spectacular experience for 2 weary Camino Pilgrims. Very few hotel options so make reservations early. No A/C in hotel but it cools off every evening and we opened windows after sunset and room cooled quickly. If you sleep hot like us ask for a sheet. As stated in my review our stay was disappointing due to the electrics in our room although I requested room 209 the staff were aware of the problem before our arrival perhaps they would have been better offering us an alternative room it’s a shame as we travel to Spain twice a year and have used this hotel every time it is pleasant the scenery is fantastic and it’s very convenient when travelling from Brittany as it is half way I’m not sure if I will book it againGuest review byLindaFrance
