I visited Benasque to compete in the Vuelta al Aneto trail...
I visited Benasque to compete in the Vuelta al Aneto trail race. The race started and ended in Benasque. Benasque is a great base for outdoor activities (hiking, trail running, mountain biking) with many shops providing gear and support for your adventures. My friends who visited with me are not into outdoor adventures, but enjoyed the beautiful town, restaurants and bars immensely.Guest review byAndrewAustralia - 8.0
Absolutely beautiful, felt like we were inside a Disney...
Absolutely beautiful, felt like we were inside a Disney movie. That being said, there was not much to do except bars/restaurants and outdoor activities like hiking and skiing. Difficult to get anywhere without a car, but worth the effort for the views of the mountains. There are numerous good hikes in the area, even if you don't...
There are numerous good hikes in the area, even if you don't have your own transport. If you do, even better. It's an attractive traditional mountain village/small town and ideally placed for trekking in the high Pyrenees, including summits like Posets/Llardana and Aneto as well as the GR11 and its variants.
