FAQs about hotels in Andalucía

Pulsating with History and Tradition

Resounding with flamenco, the fabulous Spanish region of Andalusia (or Andalucía) has world-class attractions, wonderful scenery and welcoming beaches.

Some of the best Andalusia hotels are in Costa del Sol resorts including Nerja and glitzy Marbella, neighbour of exclusive Puerto Banús. Nearby is Málaga, Picasso’s city with relics of its Roman past.

Moorish influences have also left magnificent marks. Formerly a mosque, the incredible Córdoba Mezquita is now a cathedral. Against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Alhambra is a former sultans’ residence looking down on lovely Granada, home to some romantic Andalucia hotels and apartments on Booking.com.

You can ski in the Sierra Nevada, and also in mountains by Aracena north of Seville, the region’s sun-drenched capital with a gigantic Gothic cathedral and amazing architecture in Plaza de España. It also has a ring where controversial bullfighting occurs.

Its nearest beaches are on the Costa de la Luz, between Isla Canela (by Portugal) and Tarifa. Nearby is Algeciras, across the bay from Gibraltar. Other popular Andalusia beaches are in Costa de Almería resorts including Roquetas de Mar and Mojacar.

Inland, on a steep escarpment, Arcos de la Frontera, is one of the White Villages of Andalusia. Nearby is Jerez, home of sherry. To the east is Ronda with its high bridge spanning a deep gorge.

Seville has a lively character with so many interesting places to explore. Everything was in walking distance of the hotel. The tapas was amazing, different offerings all over town. Alcazar, Cathedral and Giralda are must sees. Place de Espana is beautiful. A city we will definitely return to.

Malaga is a great city to explore with the added loveliness of the beach, the port, the botanical gardens and the historic theatre & castle. The old part of the town is awesome with the small streets, museums, cathedral and little churches. Lots of tasty menus too if you're the adventurous type & like to use your language skills. We took a coach to Gibraltar and would have ventured to Granada and other nearby places had we been there longer.

Grenada is a very welcoming city, it is a city of culture.

Grenada is a very welcoming city, it is a city of culture. The churches and cathedral are stunning and a visit to the Alhambra Palace is a must see. But book tickets on-line at least two months in advance to avoid disappointment. If you are looking for a great dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere, I recommend the Carmen Aben Humeya restaurant. The restaurant has amazing views looking out towards the Alhambra Palace. Great food at a reasonable price

My wife is from Cordoba, so i love it. Family visits and this time a wedding ! The old town, centre and river are wonderful to visit, so many locations to see. One of my favourite locations in the world. Bodegas Campos - incredible venue, and Pepe de la Juderia - superb. However have noticed a decline in city maintanice - broken paving everywhere, and the drains - walking around was always met with a rich aroma.

Great coastline full of lovely beaches. Sandy, safe, clean water and suitable for sunbathing or for families. Lots to do in Marbella itself but absolutely miles upon miles of coastline to work with, with lots of beach bars and little villages along the way.

The hotel was excellent. Torremolinos was awful; not my sort of place at all. Very loud, over commercialised and extremely busy (and this was late September). We were only there for the hotel and the free airport shuttle which wasn't available after all.

It was excellent, I have already covered this in detail in my review /Likes. The Cathedral was Magnificent inside and out, but it isn't in your sights below, because I didn't see those listed, I can't give an opinion; it was great for photos I took lots. If any of the sights below were like the Museum(Roman)and in the mina area and the beautiful beaches from the tour bus, also the tower and the music hall adjacent I would expect them to be great as well, everywhere was beautiful.

Fuengirolla is a busy resort that spreads along the coastine past Los Boliches to Torreblanca. You can find beaches, restaurants and bars to suit your taste. The 'Square' is at the heart of the town, the Bubba Bar and Casa Colon being our favourites. The train is an easy way to visit other local areas as far back as Malaga at very reasonable prices. What's not to like?
