Very good hotel, I enjoyed alot during my stay (my honeymoon) and I highly recommend for others. Very good hospitality, enthusiastic staff, very good room services. I enjoyed alot with daily night shows. I liked all entertainment team (Hamza, Bibo, Ali, Suzi). I liked the food and helpful waiters at the main restaurant (esp. Alaa).

Amazing NEW hotel with friendly and super helpful stuff, high food quality, comfortable big rooms, adorable beach and sea, i recommend it to everyone! # Food: • The main restaurant offers good food, but during my two-week stay, I felt that it lacked variety. • Breakfast (7:00–10:00): There were always two types of salmon, fresh juices, smoothies, omelets, poached eggs, pancakes, waffles, strawberries, and plenty of fruits. • Lunch (12:30–14:30): Always a choice of meat or fish. The pasta with garlic, shrimp, and cream in the main restaurant is highly recommended. • Splash Bar (12:30–16:30): Great pizza, crispy chicken schnitzel, and fresh salads. • Bay View (12:30–16:00): Highly recommend the salmon sandwich and cheesecake. • Dinner (18:30–21:00): Tasty dishes in the main restaurant and both à la cartes. • Tao à la carte: Delicious soups and sushi. • Bay View à la carte: Highly recommend the baked salmon. • Also, great beachfront restaurants at Jaz Riviera and Iberotel. # Staff • Mr. Mohammed Khaled is a heart of this place. Absolutely all staff were so very helpful and thoughtful. (Thank you.) Nothing seemed to phase them. Carefully designed, buildings with wonderful outlook. Do take some time to examine the fossilised corals etc in the stone from which the place is built! Meals were always freshly prepared, beautifully presented and plentiful, with the option of seconds if need be. Vegetarian food was excellent, as was, I understand from friends, Vegan, and meat. The whole site was kept meticulously clean, including the beach. There are gardens with indigenous plants, including those that attract butterflies and moths. Also a formal fresh water feature, the home of numerous dragonflies: a surprise bonus. The infinity pool is generously sized. Security appears to be excellent, as are safety features eg fire hoses, emergency exit signs, pool Life Guard. Outdoor lighting at night is adequate for safety, but angled downwards, so star gazing is possible. The House Reef is easily accessible from a pier a short walk from the Lodge. The Emperor Divers facility which abuts the Lodge gives options of Shore and Boat diving.

I stayed there with a small kid, so we mostly used kids pool, and the one in Aqua park. Both of them have slides inside. We loved it. Aqua park also has a lot of big slides for older children and adults. We didn't experience any animation program so I can't comment on that. But we did spend some time on the beach and it's very nice...lots of sand for the kid, nice entrance in the water...you can even see some fishes in the shallow water. The coral reef is couple of meters from the shore, so if there are no waves you can snorkel. we had couple of very calm days, but also windy ones (waves are very big so it's not possible to go in the water), but you can use the beach and pools. Our room was very nice, it had terrace from which we could access kids pools, so it was very convenient. Food in the restaurant was great for us, we could always find something for us. Cookies and cakes were great (not to sweet). Some food was available each day, but there was also some that was different each day (like soups). I loved it. And people that work there are really friendly! We didn't have any stomach problems. Kids club could use some improvements (lack of materials for play).

The Marina Resort Port Ghalib is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, the location of our room was excellent as we could walk directly from our terrace to the small pool. The location is perfect, close to the airport but there’s no hindrance from planes at all. The man behind the reception (Mr. F.) was exceptionally nice to us. We stayed here a few days before and after our boat trip. So when we got back after the boat trip, he gave us the same room and a good deal on our upgrade so we could enjoy the buffet dinner in the evening. The buffet diner with a different theme every night was very good! We loved the food, and the service of the men (Mahmoud and M Akram) bringing drinks and cleaning the tables. Breakfast is excellent as well. Then of course we were very happy with Eid, who not only cleaned our room, but left a wonderful artwork of towels (shaped as swans) and flowers on our beds; and placed a bunch of flowers in a glass on our side table. He was a very kind man! If we return to Egypt, we would certainly stay in this hotel again. Thanks for everything, Astrid & Corine

    Mr Hassan and his collegues from the reception, and also all the other employees at the resort, are very kind and friendly. Every time I'm there, they truly do their very best, to make my stay the most comfortable as possible. I love the spacious, comfortable and light rooms. It's very clean everywhere. The food is great. Fayrouz has a very nice house reef for snorkeling, and it's great that Marsa Mubarak is only 20 min walk away: this is a bay where there are big sea turtles. I keep coming back, and now my friends are too.

    We stayed in the tent and chalet. It’s a different experience but both are wonderful. Everything centred around and well organised for guests to enjoy underwater life to the max. The concept attracts a certain type of clientele, mostly divers, who are not there to party and make noise but to enjoy and respect nature. Wonderful to disconnect.

    The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

    I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea...

    I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

    Some places offer excellent takeaway food.

    Some places offer excellent takeaway food. There is a public beach a little further away (a short walk across a small desert area) with exceptional underwater flora and fauna. Bring shoes for walking in the water. Please stay above or near the coral (personally, I didn't know there were risks to swimming too far from the reefs, namely sharks. But I didn't see any. On the other hand, there were some exceptional fish! Port Ghalib is a tourist spot but much, much quieter than Hurghada. If someone tries to sell you something, just say ‘La, chokram’ with a smile and everything will be fine. Don't forget to tip a little, as Egyptians earn very little (around €400 per month for a family of four). For activities, I recommend Royal Sea Tours (royalsea-tours.com), who are really great.     Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere. No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels. Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.

    The sea was beautiful.

    The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

    Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,too shallow and rocky not sandy.Took quad ride out in desert was fun.Lots of fish to see on reefs,water very clean.marss Mubarak has resident dugong and turtles but didn't see the dugong on our visit.Overall nice place ,a bit on the windy side but nice relief from heat.

There are already so many wonderful things to do like snorkeling, diving, massages and especially the many activities offered by Captain Mahmoud's extraordinary team and the high quality shows performed in the evening. All the staff are adorable, attentive, attentive both on the beach and by the pool as well as in the various restaurants, not to mention the maintenance staff and gardeners, the cooks, the waiters (mention special for Ahzem from the main restaurant, Abd Allah at the pool restaurant, Mostafa who is part of Mahmoud's team, Hod Hod on the beach and many others of whom I don't really know the spelling of their first name. are all very courageous, with a sense of humor and kindness like I have rarely seen. Everything is put in place so that you only want to do one thing... come back as quickly as possible."

    I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t like. Mainly, I noticed that someone bought a quad bike tour, and they were taken just a little way behind the hotel to ride on a pile of sand for a short while. There was trash and plastic all around, a complete wasteland—nothing pretty. I’m used to greenery, which I understand is lacking in this destination, but I definitely wouldn’t buy an overpriced camel or quad bike tour. Especially because, in that heat, it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience for me, and with the trash around, definitely not. I did a diving trip, but it ended up being canceled. Unfortunately, they made us leave our things (like backpacks) in a place where locals were moving around, and we had no way to secure them. The original plan was that we would be on a boat. In the end, it didn’t happen, and that was probably for the best. I booked the trip through Booking. I had no particular expectations, even though we were supposed to see dolphins. Eventually, I arranged for diving, and I enjoyed it. Since I’m already a diver, it was easy, but when I saw how they even turn diving into a business, it bothered me. I saw parents forcing their 12-year-old daughter to try diving. She was crying, didn’t want to do it, but the father insisted because it was paid for. I watched her struggle and feel uncomfortable. It saddens me to see that everything can be bought with money, and that’s just wrong.

    amazing hotel, we booked it one year before and this year...

    amazing hotel, we booked it one year before and this year decided to choose the same one because we like it. it is quite, woth pleasant stuff, everything was perfect. good parking woth a socket to charge, quick check-in, tasty food, additional Italien restaurant. cool beach with rifs and sand to swim at any weather. for sure we will book this hotel for the next trip amd recommend to book it if you planing to spend good time
