We had a wonderful stay at Alpenkönig. We had booked it for our 45th wedding anniversary based on reviews that the food was so good and it was a very welcoming atmosphere. And sure enough, the food was exceptional. Breakfast had everything you could wish for. Eggs were made to order, bacon was cooked for you too, French toast, oatmeal... all made to order. The buffet part of the breakfast was great. Mini croissants delicious. We took the half board option and were treated to gourmet-like food as well as presentation of the food. Delicious! The room we had was very big and comfortable with a sitting area. Everything was spotless. The walk into town was roughly 5 minutes. The scenery is beautiful. I highly recommend taking the Hündlebahn cable car. Beautiful open views and many possible walks. The owners were very welcoming and caring. Altogether a great vacation.

    Best breakfast I have had in my life. Very posh hotel, we stayed in one of the outbuilding cabins, which was perfect given our 3 and 6 year old had the playground directly in front of the room, private little home. Dinner was also incredible, homemade noodles and fresh mushrooms, beautiful German wine. And the pool and spa, was insanely gorgeous. Everything clean and very memorable. We even went to the hotel bar with live music in the eve with the kids!

    Excellent little Bavarian town.

    Excellent little Bavarian town. Surrounded by trails, mountains etc. If you don’t like quiet, then this is not for you. But Oberstaufen is located a short drive from the towns of Lake Konstanz and all the touristy things that you may require.

    Missen-Wilhams as such there is nothing much to do except...

    Missen-Wilhams as such there is nothing much to do except hiking but the surrounding areas are just perfect. We could visit Neu Schwenstein Castle and Reutte on day1 and returned back fresh in our apartment. Day 2 we drove to Swaroqski museum in Wattens tehn onwards to Italy boarder and had fantastic Pizza dinner. Day 3 to Lichtenstein and back to Stuttgart. It was a right spot to cover all these comfortably.

    Beautiful little village with a great park area, beautiful...

    Beautiful little village with a great park area, beautiful flowers and garden areas which are beautifully looked after, plenty of places to drink coffee but the ice parlour on the corner has a fantastic coffee machine and makes great cappuccino. Bike rental available. Cable car ride to top of mountain is recommended. Plenty of hiking routes.
