First of all the staff: kind and helpful. Second: the location, close to the city center and the lake. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Jellentrup. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious.

    I cannot find anything negative to say about our stay at this hotel. The rooms were immaculately clean with all the facilities anyone would need. We were a group of Five English Harley Davidson riders who had ridden for 10 hours in very hot conditions and arrived tired and dirty but we were greeted at the hotel like royalty , I am sorry that I didn’t get the name of the lady who checked us into the Hotel but I must say that she was absolutely fantastic, total professional. The young ladies in the bar were also absolutely amazing, very professional. All the staff members are a credit to the Hotel.

    Everything was just perfect. The room was clean and smelled really nice! Everything was functioning properly as well, no issues! The sauna and the pool were ready to use super quick! And everything was clean and kept in order. The breakfast was delicious, there were plenty of stuff to choose and enjoy. As a big coffee lover I can say that the cappuccino was really good. Everyone was really friendly and polite. We had such a great time here. We are looking forward to our next visit!

    Lots of space in the 2 bed apartment , everything worked and spotlessly clean. Team who checked us in were superb ( a lady and a gentleman) , very friendly and helpful . Showed us where to park and took us to the room . Dealt with a room mix up quickly and without fuss . Great location, just a 20 minute walk into the centre. Thanks for looking after us so well ! Oops, almost forgot, a great breakfast in the morning .Plenty of choice, lots of space and nice relaxing atmosphere.

    Munster is a wonderful University /Cathedral town.

    Munster is a wonderful University /Cathedral town. Re built after the war it has been restored to its original façade. The old cobbled streets bars and shopping create a relaxing place to explore. There is a good mix of modern and heritage combined with a wealth of history. It is slightly off the beaten track but a visit is well worthwhile. I had the biggest pizza in a restaurant close to the station and the atmosphere is second to none at night.

    Had a road accident there involving a cyclist, Germany needs...

    Had a road accident there involving a cyclist, Germany needs to get their traffic light rules in order, both myself and the cyclist had green lights but ut seems I should have given way to the cyclist who cane darting out from the right hand side whilst I was making a left hand turn. He thought he had the right of way and he he took it right at the last minute and hit me on the front corner of my car, he wasn't injured thanks god but could have been killed . In the uk one green light at a time applies. Afrais after this incident I'm not going back, Bocholt used to be nice but it just doesn't appeal anymore.

    On arrival there was a dirty coffee cup by the machine with the contents still remaining inside this cup didn’t move for the duration of the stay leaving me to question the cleanliness, the breakfast was very poor with little choice, wouldn’t stay again.

    We loved the city, pretty and interesting, amazing to experience the amazing network of cycle paths around city on the beautiful tree lined promenade and out of city with pretty route along Dortmund Ems canal. The city has a lovely relaxed and calm vibe still with plenty going on.

    Bochum is a great bicycle town, bike paths everywhere, there is a real nice lake and park close to town. From the train station or bus station it is only a short ride to Dutch border towns. I loved the little town Aalten, just 20 min bus ride from Bocholt and you can use the Deutschland-Ticket. Bocholt has great restaurants and a pub scene. I loved the pub Street Life, has a nice beer garden. There also is a beach club at the Aasee, just a 15 min walk from town.

    Lovely town/city, wonderful market on Wednesday , good cafe/restaurant by the Aasee. Careful where we parked due to the emissions regulations even though we did have the correct car windscreen sticker. Would go again.

    Lovely City in North Germany, very clean with friendly...

    Lovely City in North Germany, very clean with friendly locals who love icecream and cakes! I travelled to have dental treatment at Kleinsman Dental Centre and enjoyed the time in Bocholt very much. Great transport links, people mostly on bycicles. Good Cafes and Restaurants, great shops. I would definitely recommend Konditorei-Café Voß, the home made cakes are to die for, my fab was the apple cake. Restaurants, our favourite was Le Dayo and the Gyoza bar for Sushi and japanese food. Not many people speak English but we found that people were very friendly. We stay in the fabulous City Hotel. Definitely a place to visit .
