- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 80 reviewsWe really enjoyed going on a cruise on the lake. We also really enjoyed taking a little train around a town or two. The weather was less great that specific weekend but even then our stay was very enjoyable. Would love to go again. The staff were really friendly and the tiny house for 4 to 6 people is really a comfortable size and very comfortably laid out! You can also choose from a few different hiking trails. Shorter distance, longer distances. Whatever you feel up to. Beautiful beautiful place! We all loved staying at Ferienpark Rursee.Guest review byEstelleSouth Africa
- From US$175 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,795 reviewsWe had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Horchem in Monschau. The town itself is like a fairytale, and spending the night here – once all the day-trippers have left – makes you appreciate its magic even more. The hotel is in a perfect location, right in the heart of Monschau, with everything within walking distance. Our room was spotless, the sheets smelled fresh, and the shower was simply outstanding. Breakfast was excellent, generous, and the ideal way to start the day. Overall, a fantastic stay that made our visit to Monschau unforgettable.Guest review byErmenegildoItaly
- From US$162.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,417 reviewsThe room was basic, for one, peacefull and humbling. Nothing to complain of. It is still a monastery. Location brilliant. Having breafast in a monastery hall was both wonderfull and a great experience. A little issue with language barrier, but it was expected. If you enjoy simple things don' t miss it.Guest review byNicusor-GabrielNetherlands

It is a beautiful historical city, great for visiting!
It is a beautiful historical city, great for visiting! The best points are: 1. the glass blowing workshop, where YOU can also blow your own vase! 2. the city itself, which is totally cute 3. the red house, a great museum about the rich textile background of the city 4. the mustard mill (next to the ACHAT hotel) 5. the Nazi school, such an important historical piece, close to Monschau, at the entrance of the Eifel park, a total must see!Guest review byMaurizioNetherlands - 10.0

It is a place to connect with nature, you sleep early and wake up with sunshine, nice area to breath, walk, cycle and hike. I dont recommend this place for people who likes to do party and make noises as the sleep time is 10pm and you are not allowed to make party.Guest review bygolnarNetherlands - 8.0

It is a small and quiet village of Golbach near Kall.
It is a small and quiet village of Golbach near Kall. It is excellent for nature walks and outings to the cities of Trier and Aachen which have both Unesco World Heritage properties. You can visit also the Hautes Fagnes on the border of Belgium and Germany to enjoy splendid nature scenes and wonderful birdwatching. On my arrival I HEARD AND SAW a group of Cranes flying over WOW and again WOWGuest review byjaapNetherlands - 10.0
Beutiful area and scenery.
Beutiful area and scenery. The boat trip around the larger lake was stunning. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Lots of winding roads but lots of slow speed areas and speed traps. High number of motorbikes around here.Guest review bygunner - 10.0
Tiny beautiful town, cozy feeling, friendly people & good...
Tiny beautiful town, cozy feeling, friendly people & good food, definitly recommend for dinner: •Am Haller: old style cozy place with good german food and friendly staff. Please note you can only pay with cash here. •Kafe Kaulard: perfect for a nice breakfast/brunch, located in the center with great views; also they have amazing cakes (didnt try but they looked amazing and lots of people came for the cake while we had brunch) You can easily walk through the whole town and some hiking paths close by. Only minus point would be that many places dont accept paying with card but cash only, if you need to go to a cashmachine, its 5km way all up hill.. For the rest super place to scape for a weekendGuest review byJenn_Netherlands - 4.0
At our arrival there was no check in information available...
At our arrival there was no check in information available and we were stuck at night figuring out what to do. The following days nobody checked in on us and we had to reach out again with our questions, which remained unanswered. Eventually a filed a complain with booking.com about non-working WiFi, important to us as this was a business trip. A bigger thing is if you like food: the kitchen is rather basic - no oven, and there is no store or bakery or bread service close by, so no fresh bread in the morning. Several smaller issues: no basics in the kitchen like salt or tea & coffee, no shower products and the like. Other smaller things, but things to consider: the parking spot has several small bushes that weren't trimmed and scratched my car quite badly unfortunately. It's just not thought through and owners don't seem to seek feedback or act on it, therefore don't expect much.Guest review byAliochaNetherlands - 10.0
Heimbach is small German town within the Eifel National Park...
Heimbach is small German town within the Eifel National Park. Very good destination for easy to medium hikes, but also popular with bikers and cyclists. Close-by there is a dam lake were you can do plenty of water sport activities(sailing, SUP, kayaking, swimming, boat trips). The scenery is quite unique. In Heimbach central you can find many traditional German houses it has an old town vibe, with many places to sit inside but without a "touristy" vibe. There is castle which is well worth visiting and also an art academy which hosts art events every now and then. The restaurants and breakfast places in the centrum offer traditional German dishes which basically means lots of meat and bear. Because of Cologne's close proximity you can find many places with Kölsch beer on the tap, which is quite different from the most common Pils types. Perfect destination for families who like outdoor activities. It is said the the national park has very little light pollution so stargazing can also be a fun thing to do.Guest review bypzmNetherlands - 10.0
Cozy little town with trails to many villages around.
Cozy little town with trails to many villages around. The Eifel region is incredible and, since I love being in the nature, was the perfect place for me to be. The village is very small and around a lake. There are many places to stay over and some restaurants. Minuspoint: no supermarkets/bakeries. But within a 10min drive you can find anything.Guest review byRafBelgium - 8.0

If you are going to the small town and christmas market, it can be visited in a full day. We arrived on a Sunday when the christmas market was active, but the very next day, everything was closed. There is only a few cafes and restaurants open so if you do not go for a walk/hike, there isn't much else to do in Dec during weekdays.Guest review byKevinHong Kong
