We loved our stay! For starters, the property has a decent size rainforest in their "backyard". We took advantage of that and saw a variety of birds including toucans, howler monkeys, various coloured frogs, a wide variety of plants and flowers. They also host a guided tour for free and we took full advantage of that. In addition, the staff always went out of the way to make us comfortable. The place is located about 20-30 mins from the various La Fortuna attractions, so we were able to cover a few of these every day. The wifi was of good quality. The hot water in the shower was good. Rooms are spacious and comes with a kitchen. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, cutlery etc. There was coffee, sugar, oil and salt available as a complement. There was also parking available for our car.

Arenal Amor is an incredible piece of paradise! The serene atmosphere and stunning views make this place unforgettable, but what truly made our stay magical was the top-notch spa and service from the staff. We had the best massage of our lives—it was pure perfection. The therapists were incredibly skilled, and the tranquil open-air setting elevated the entire experience. To top it off, we were treated to the enchanting sight of monkeys playing in the trees during our massage! It felt like something out of a dream. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and fresh. Nothing quite like starting your day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee while toucans flutter through the trees. Special thanks to Jogebeth, whose warmth and impeccable service made our stay even more special. From her attention to detail to her genuine care for our comfort, she went above and beyond.     We had a beautiful balcony facing directly towards the Volcano, which we could appreciate also while laying in bed. The room was spacious and the beds themselves probably the best ones we had in our whole trip along Costa Rica. In the morning you could spot so many different kinds of birds directly from the balcony, that would visit the flowers of the hotel garden; which really makes you feel immerse in Nature. The breakfast was spectacular with so many local dishes and fruits; and the food at the restaurant was always delicious. The pool is super nice, due to the weather we limited ourselves to the hot tubs which were amazing after a long hiking day. We were surprised to see the hotel has its own veggie garden, and almost a third of the property kept as a reserved area, with a really nice path for a morning walk. We would definitely come back

    Loved this place. Stunning view to the volcano. The thermal pools are great, they even have one with a bar with views to the volcano and we finished our days there. Loads of animal life, beautiful birds, 1m fluorescent iguanas, squirells… and their zipline was amazing too! Our daughters of 7/9 did tandem with the guides who were so sweet and helpful. Super recommended.

    Superb breakfast, additions to ”main course” a lot add ons with fruit, croisants, cookies, juice etc. Nice rooms very close to the djungle, and both birds and frogs to be seen in their natural habitat. Free nightwalk and spotting frogs, toads and if you are lucky also snake. Everbody is superfriendly and helpful. Pool area nice with hot tubs as well.

    It was awesome. It was actually a re-foresting place, they did such a good job. The cabins beautiful, the kitchen excellent and everyone there very nice and welcoming. We heard a lot about the place while there, so interesting. This place has so much heart. We absolutely recommend the night tour. Saw so many different species of frogs.

    The on-site hot springs are beautiful. The included 30 min spa treatments (one per stay pp) were a nice touch. The activity (one per stay pp) was brilliant. The bird life around the property and the trail walk is beautiful. Lunch was good for veggies and view from the restaurant to the volcano is amazing. Pool bar man is a diamond!

    I made a non-refundable booking which i had to change last minute because of last minute changes to my travel schedule and the hotel accommodated my request.     The hotel is very modern and clean. The staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful to us non Spanish speakers. We ate at both restaurants and they were excellent.     We came for the birding and it certainly did not disappoint! Loved the refreshing pool, trails, flora & fauna, and the stunning views of the volcano and lake. Our room had a spectacular view of Lake Arenal which was framed by a large magnificent tree. No tiring of the changing views everywhere.

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!) If you like adventure- there is plenty. If you want to relax-it is a beautiful place to do so.

    Our trip was mostly rejuvenation, health and to access the volcano and hot springs. We went to Arenal park and hiked the trail to the Volcano. We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout. Staff and Service were top notch.

    This is a great area to experience Costa Rica and the wildlife. We visited Mistico hanging bridges (great with a guide as located creatures we would not have); La Fortuna waterfall (no guide needed); Sky adventures (aerial tram, zip lines & trails); sloth guided tour; Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails (day pass with lunch) - all of which we would recommend!

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica.

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica. They have on main major highway and you must get off that highway to get to Jaco and Fortuna. The roads are windy and it takes forever to get somewhere. It took us 3.5 hours to get from Fortuna to San Jose and it is less than 100 miles. This is due to the windy roads which are typically one lane in each direction. However, it is a beautiful drive. Just be prepared! If you are in the Jaco area, do not miss Villa Caletas. Has an amazing view. We stayed at the Marriott Vacation Club at Los Suenos in Garabito. It is a beautiful property.
