This place is made by its people. The manager Leonardo is the soul of this small hotel. Maybe it’s not much fancy and chic but it’s really nice and clear. You have breakfast at the terrace together with colourful birds and squirrels who are having their breakfast. There’s a small but well cared pool. And don’t forget about frog tour with Leonardo.

This was an extraordinary experience and for sure the best way to be close to Arenal volcano . The view from the room is amazing . Equipped with a really good bed it’s the best way to experience the forest with highest comfort. From the balcony you see and hear a lot of birds. And the staff is amazing, they are very welcoming and help you with everything you need - always with a smile ! My personal highlight was my morning coffee on the balcony swing watching and listening to the forest . It’s the best and worth every cent !

Arenal Amor is an incredible piece of paradise! The serene atmosphere and stunning views make this place unforgettable, but what truly made our stay magical was the top-notch spa and service from the staff. We had the best massage of our lives—it was pure perfection. The therapists were incredibly skilled, and the tranquil open-air setting elevated the entire experience. To top it off, we were treated to the enchanting sight of monkeys playing in the trees during our massage! It felt like something out of a dream. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and fresh. Nothing quite like starting your day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee while toucans flutter through the trees. Special thanks to Jogebeth, whose warmth and impeccable service made our stay even more special. From her attention to detail to her genuine care for our comfort, she went above and beyond.     Casa Luna Hotel & Spa is a lovely place to stay. The gardens are beautiful, many many many flowers and some birds, there is a short trail around the hotel in the "jungle" and a lot of ponds with frogs. The rooms are quiet, very clean, with extremely comfy beds, clean bathroom. The restaurant was really good (we had dinner; tried the steak, wow ! and breakfast: wide choice, with eggs prepared fresh). There are some pools, the hot water pools are really private for 2-4 people (they are not with "thermal" water of the area, but heated, but still great). It was our first hotel after 1.5 weeks in Costa Rica where we were greeted with welcome drink, nice, thank you ! AirCon was efficient. They offer a lot of tours also.

    This hotel sits on a large property, we stayed in a room with a small thermal pool in a garden visited by plenty of birds. The location is very quiet, the room is large, the personnel helps a lot on any issue. We were able to do a small laundry, still very expensive but also very helpful. From all the places we've been in Costa Rica this hotel had the best breakfast, with very good quality products. One can see also plenty of birds around the breakfast zone, the pool and the gardens. The hotel has a very nice thermal pool with multiple small pools accessible over night. It also has a normal pool. We really enjoyed it.

    The centre is not over touristified. A few good supermarkets. A good variety of food options, with some good Sodas. A lot of accommodation to choose from. Nice Central Park. Many activities to choose from, and easy to get transport to them if you don’t have a car. The Mundo 12 zip lines can’t be missed.

We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout. Staff and Service were top notch.

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!) If you like adventure- there is plenty. If you want to relax-it is a beautiful place to do so.

    This is a great area to experience Costa Rica and the wildlife. We visited Mistico hanging bridges (great with a guide as located creatures we would not have); La Fortuna waterfall (no guide needed); Sky adventures (aerial tram, zip lines & trails); sloth guided tour; Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails (day pass with lunch) - all of which we would recommend!
