I also liked the breakfast, although they could add a little bit of variety. Staff was helpful, especially the cleaning ladies, they were really great. We had a small attic room with two beds. The room and the bathroom were spacious and we were pleasantly surprised when we saw a portable air conditioning in our room. Namely, it was really hot, over 35 degrees, day and night, and in Switzerland, most of the places, to our surprise, don't have ACs. We only found it in supermarkets. So, these small AC saved our lives! Ah, I almost forgot, there's a Nespresso machine and a variety of coffees and tea in the box, which was a nice touch.Guest review byMašaCroatia

But what really sets this hotel apart are the staff - they go above and beyond to make your stay a delight! One night they called all over town to get me into a busy restaurant because I had (shortsightedly) not made a reservation anywhere. Another day, I was unsuccessful in my hunt for French onion soup, and they asked the chef to prepare it, especially for me! Neuchatel offers a tourist pass with free entry to many attractions in the canton and free public transport. Note that many places are closed on Sundays and/or Mondays. We made the most of the sunshine by taking a train to Buttes and walking in the mountains above the chairlift (included in the tourist pass), with fabulous views over the lake, the Jura and the distant Alps. Don't bother going. It feels like a travel lodge, cheap feeling. Staff we ok not their fault. Breakfast an uncomfortable disaster. One of the smallest towns in Switzerland.
One of the smallest towns in Switzerland. Fifth time here, but haven't visited watch museum. As many other Swiss towns it's dying, so enjoy it until it's gone. Less and less people living there. Check a small second hand shop in front of hotel 3 kings - 80% are common household things, but often you can find some rare treasure like 50 years old Swiss knife, portable fondu copper set, vinyls, rare books, cutlery, etc.Guest review byvaldajkoChina - 10.0

Lovely town on the side of the lake with good shops, restaurants and some historical sights. Beware it is very hilly away from lakeside but public transport is very good. Porrentruy is a small history city in a far-flung corner of Switzerland which has put a lot of resources in renovation and upgrading over the last 20 years. And they are still at it. Just recently, the main street was repaved with cobblestones. There are a castle, loads of beautiful historic buildings in the centre and extravagant turn-of-the century villas in the closer outskirts of town. Porrentruy has become a very loveable small town in Switzerland. with an unusual number of bars and restaurants, some of which are surprisingly lively for such a small town. In summer Neuchâtel clearly has a North-Italian atmosphere to me, originating from the old town buildings, the vibes in the harbour and even home-made icecream everywhere!
