- From US$82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 1,153 reviewsIncredible hotel. You can see that every architectural and design decision was carefully considered to make the units beautiful, perfect and unique; for instance, natural elements like trees are incorporated into the treehouses, every unit is oriented to have a perfect view, and the finishes are beautiful - from blue glass accent panes in the windows to clinging vines within the rooms. We appreciated the kitchenette which allowed us cook cook some of the nice produce we bought at the local market, the comfortable beds and warm rooms (we didn't ask for our fire to be lit and were still warm from the heater), the stunning views, the board games, and the friendly alpacas. We extended our stay an extra night and spent most of our time just relaxing and enjoying the property. We definitely want to come back and share this experience with friends.Guest review byGary RedfernCayman Islands

We arrived very early in the morning and the receptionist kindly arranged for our room to be cleaned first so we could check in early. After a sleepless night on a bus, this was very welcome as we fully expected to have to wait until 2pm to use the room. They were also helpful booking taxis for us.Guest review byTweedUnited Kingdom

As well location, if you like to be in the center of the city. Both of our sons had Food poisoning and vomited all over the room. The room was promptly cleaned. We though the hotel would charge an extra fee for cleaning, but didnt.Guest review byFernandaBrazil

We felt safe to walk during the day and night.
We felt safe to walk during the day and night. Food, clothing and haircuts are cheap. Most people are helpful and very friendly. La Paz has a few world records: highest capital city (so ensure you have Diamox to reduce altitude sickness symptoms) and the largest cable car network in the world (well worth the 12 BOB for 2 hours use as we covered 6 different routes.Guest review byMichaelW62Australia - 10.0

Lake Titicaca is an awesome place to visit to spend a couple of days at least, if you love nature you will really enjoy this simple and awesome place, you will find good food, too, from Italian to awesome Ceviche at the main plaza. Check out Trattoria Sapori di Italia.Guest review byReneUnited States - 8.0
We liked that you can walk to all attractions.
We liked that you can walk to all attractions. You can see films from some of them if you go to youtube and the channel for Karlmark International and the playlist for Bolivia. The ascents are at times very tiring, so it's good to walk slowly. Watch out for the old couples that sometimes try to get extra fees from you when you are on the trails. They are modern day robbers, but just don't give them anything, or see it as a tip for nothing. Both the long (over the hill) and the short (along the coast) hike to Challapampa are nice. You can easily reach the temple of the sun from a little above the harbour in Yumani.Guest review byMikaelkkSweden - 8.0
We didnt have long in La Paz.
We didnt have long in La Paz. We went on a walking tour on the first day, but didn't particularly enjoy it. I think we started too early and a lot of things were not fully open. The cable cars were great though. We enjoyed these more, and it gave us amazing views of the city. We really loved the Valley of the Moon also. We went to the women wrestling show, which was lots of fun. The death road cycle was a challenge, but it was an amazing trip.Guest review byYvonneNew Zealand - 10.0
Copacabana surprised us, but was a fantastic place to visit...
Copacabana surprised us, but was a fantastic place to visit and at no time did we feel unsafe or threatened. The people are very very friendly and really try hard to communicate with you when English is not their language (in a lot of ways). Has a holiday atmosphere without losing its Bolivian roots and religious leanings. A great place to visit and soak in.Guest review byCraigAustralia - 10.0
The island is steep.
The island is steep. Once you leave Yumani port you are climbing uphill at altitude. Initially the Escalera del Inca is picturesque but will stretch your lungs. After that there is more uphill. The walking surfaces are rough and uneven, if walking at night bring a torch. The views are fantastic! The best place to catch sunset and sunrise views is probably the highest part of Yumani village. From there going uphill to Mirador Palla Khalsa gives great 360 degree views.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 8.0
People are very friendly in La Paz.
People are very friendly in La Paz. The Mi Teleferico is such an amazing local commuting transportation easing the traffic congestion for its residents. The system is so efficient and I found it a very unique experience with applause. The Mirador Killi Killi viewing point is just spectacular too. My friend and I even took the local bus at one point and all the local people are very warm .Guest review byAnna Man YingHong Kong - 6.0

The main reason we went to Copacabana was to visit the Isla del Sol. Its a great day hike destination with beautiful views, Inca ruins and a chance to hike an Inca road. However, the restaurants, food stores and beach in Copacabana are mediocre.Guest review byStuartUnited States - 10.0
Wonderful getaway!
Wonderful getaway! The island has no cars, but lots of donkeys and llamas. We were able to find a couple good places to have dinner and watch the sunset. We also were able to explore the island, walk to the ruins and the viewpoints and just relax. While walking up the first set of stairs, I took off my sling bag to take a couple layers off - the sun was out and I was overheating. I forgot my sling there and noticed that it was missing about 10 minutes later. I re-traced my steps and couldn't find it, so I chatted with a couple of the locals and showed them a picture of what it looked like. Within 10 minutes of chatting with the locals, my sling was located and I was able to pick it up a little further up the trail. I thought that experience spoke well of the locals and what they are trying to promote - an enjoyable, safe, relaxing experience. We will come back to the Isla del Sol on our next visit to La Paz.Guest review byWADEUnited States
