What a lovely place in Innsbruck! The area is close enough to walk to town but far enough to have a bit of peace and quiet. The building itself is stunning and the the design elements make for a very enjoyable stay. Our room was big enough for all our stuff and to relax in. We also enjoyed using the bicycles to discover other areas and places. Next time we'll also use the gym!

Der Siegeler is just an amazing hotel, Mike, the owner goes all the way to help and please his clients and the place is just so impeccably clean and so inviting that you wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Lovely breakfast, everything so fresh every day and very filling! The hotel also boasts with Mike's Bar which is really lovely where you can always unwind after a nice dinner with a nice drink before heading to bed! Plenty of parking space for those who come by car and the town of Mayrhofen is just 5 minutes away on foot. Just plenty of things around, so lovely, so relaxing and calming around the Tyrol mountains. I will definitely come back, next time for skiing! :)

There is ample parking space next to the hotel and the hotel also offers a pool, sauna, etc. The breakfast and optional dinner are great.     Really enjoyed our stay at Kohlerhof, everything about it was perfect. A charming hotel with a very alpine feel, located right by a bus stop to head up to Hochfugen ski area. Food was great, buffet style with a good choice. The spa area was excellent as well, perfect after a day on the slopes. We had one of the deluxe double rooms and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nicely done out, it felt just the right level of luxury. Finally the staff were very friendly and helpful. When I got home to the UK I realised I'd left a jacket in the room, a quick call to the hotel and the jacket was posted back to me. Fantastic customer service! 100% recommended and will definitely stay here again!

    Very beautiful location in the middle of the nature. We booked a wood lodge and although small, this is very confortable with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The place is very clean and there are many options for you to choose, from the barrels to lodges, classic rooms or little homes. We appreciated the free coffee and tea. You have the possibility to set the temperature for the room as you wish and in a very short time the place will be very confortable also during the winter with freezing temperatures outside. Everything is fabulous and this is also very close to Innsbruck (there is also a bus taking you to the city)

    A super nice hotel, top match between the quality and price. The hotel team was always very friendly, helpful and in a nice mood. The sauna and spa zone is brand new, everything super clean, big spacious rooms, smelling from natural wood. Even on busy days the people are somehow scattered around the hotel so it is never overcrowded. Location is breathtaking. Will definitely come again!

    The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of alpine character. Mayrhofen is a gem in the heart of the Zillertal Alps — both lively and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. My favorite spot in town was the central square with the iconic ibex statue and the beautiful alpine church, perfect for soaking in the mountain vibe. I enjoyed traditional Tyrolean meals at local guesthouses, and the hut-style restaurants in the surrounding mountains are worth the hike. Breakfast at my hotel was exceptional, and the Zillertal beer is a must-try after a long day outdoors. Getting around is easy — everything in town is walkable, and the Zillertalbahn train makes exploring the valley simple. For solo travelers like me, Mayrhofen is ideal: scenic hiking trails start right from town, there’s an excellent pool & spa complex (Erlebnisbad), and plenty of cafés and beer gardens to meet people or just relax. Whether you’re here for a few days or as a base for adventures like the Berliner Höhenweg, Mayrhofen delivers both comfort and authentic alpine atmosphere.

    We stopped over for one night on our trip from the Dolomites to Salzburg. I first visited Kitzbuhel in 1970 when I was on a high school trip. I wanted my husband to see what a charming Tyrolean town it is. We really enjoyed ourselves and the hotel was wonderful!

    Our stay in Sölden was delightful, with our hotel perfectly located near the ski lift. The phenomenal après-ski, especially at Giggijoch summit on Friday, made our visit thoroughly enjoyable and extra fun.

Alpentheme Ehrenberg/Reutte, Ehrenberg Castles with Highline (suspension bridge), Lumagica night light show at the castle (only in winter time).     nice town.

    nice town. Ideal base for early season hike (start of May) in Wilder Kaiser region. Most other places in vicinity are closed as main hiking season hasn't started yet. The local kaiserlift (chair lift) was open so takes you to start of good hikes..

    Not sure Lienz is on traveller's radar.

    Not sure Lienz is on traveller's radar. It's a must when travelling to Austria. Easy to get to by train from Germany and from within Austria. A small town easily navigated on foot. It's stunning. It was a shame the gondola was not operating though.

    Although Nauders is a ski town, it's an incredible place for a summer visit. Endless hiking, great bars and restaurants but still quaint and walkable. We only had two nights, but I could easily stay for a week.

    The DE-ticket works between Ehrwald and Garmish, despite that Ehrwald is in Austria, so one can travel freely there. The Zugspitze, Sonnenspitze and other locations are reachable by train/bus/cable car from Ehrwald. The Seebensee is fantastic lake, one can get there by a bus+cable car and using and normal road or a bus and a rather difficult via ferrata. Also there is an indoor climbing (about 15m high) gym with 4 automatic belaying stations in Ehrwald, so one can climb even during bad weather conditions.
