Esquel has been on my list for years and it was special to finally make it. The downtown area has a great concentration of restaurants and breweries. I was surprised at how outdoorsy the local population was. Lots of road bikers. Runners, hikers and mountain bikers were constantly on the vast trail system that I barely scratched the surface of. Proximity to Los Alerces was good enough that we made it up there several times.Guest review byA&CSUnited States - 10.0

Esquel is a vibrant town with great food and access to lots of activities. It is a place I could spend a longer period of time but we only had a couple of days to enjoy it. Be sure to visit La Pulperia for the fantastic asado.Guest review bypamelaAustralia - 10.0

We knew nothing about Esquel when we went there but boy were we pleasantly surprised! The town itself was just the right size - it had everything we needed but was still very walkable and fun to explore. There are plenty of attractions in the town but if you have car, you can get to dozens of spectacular places within the nearby national and regional parks in 30 minutes or less. Lots of hiking and swimming (we visited in the summer)Guest review byRichardUnited States
