Lots of hot water, central heating and a good shower. Nice Patio to sit out. Chippy was very good, only a few doors down. Easy for us to walk into town, although a bit of a steep hill coming back. Handy to have free parking nearby, but its first come first served and not dedicated to this property..which we didnt realise when we booked. Comfy beds with spotless fresh bedding. It was clean, warm and comfortable with a view of the Abbey over the rooftops. The breakfast was fair but I thought the bacon was too hard to cut or eat, sausage ok and the fried egg was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked the hotel by searching whitby hotel with parking however didn't realise this was street parking if you can find a space or in a car park away from the hotel. Very central to activities which was especially good as we were a bit unlucky with the weather. Main bedroom excellent and the house was warm and well equipped. There was free parking in the West Cliff car park over the winter (until 1st March 2024) which was great as we had three cars. The rooms were superb bathrooms spotless, Our friends were stopping a little further down the road and only had on street parking and were told we could park there car in the car park at Crescent Lodge as they has a free parking space. Lee and Gwen were brilliant hosts. They told us where we could get a nice evening meal and what the main attractions were.
