    It's a pleasant enough walk down from Tamsin, but most of the shops are similar to those to be found in most big cities in Europe. The historic tram is a fun ride if you want to skip the walk. Alternatively, take a detour into the Galatasaray "Fish Market" for a more local view, or into the street full of bars to the right at the Tünel end of the street.

    Great place for people-watching, with 2 million people a day traipsing up and down it. Be sure and explore some of the side alleys. And if you can get in at a time when the Korean tourists are otherwise busy, try the Kaymak at Ozsut Muhallebicisi down near the Tunel station; more than a little fattening bjut oh so good!

    One of the most busy streets in Istanbul, there is shopping, there is food, there is nightlife. Wallets and phones in your front pocket for sure. Shops stay open till ten pm and food till late night. Nightlife was fun there were alot of local pubs.

    It was a great stay at Mayza Hotel Istanbul. The hotel is close to Taksim Square and just 100 meters from the famous Istiklal Street. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast was good value for the price, and the beds were very comfortable and spacious. Thank you so much for everything I hope to come back again 🤍

    The hotel is in a beautiful location on Istiklal Street. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the maids and receptionists. The cleaning is excellent, top notch. The breakfast offer is varied and very tasty. The bathroom is extra large compared to the room, clean and usable.

    The apartment looks just like the pictures! The host is very kind, flexible, and helpful! The apartment is in a great location. It's a 10-minute walk to Taksim and 1 minute to Istiklal Street. There are several bus stops and metro stations within 5-10 minutes. Everything you need is nearby.

    Our stay at Gold Street Hotel was very pleasant. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help us, especially with the baby strollers – which we really appreciated. The location is excellent – the hotel is right on Istiklal Street, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was very simple, but considering the price, it was acceptable. We also used the airport transfer service provided by the hotel, and it was very convenient.

    Great location - close to train station and bus stop. Walking distance to Taksim Sq and Istiklal Street. Plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Beautiful apartment - spacious and newly refurbished. Everything was new! Tastefully decorated. Equipped with washing machine and dryer (but bring your own detergent). Fully equipped kitchen. Outstanding staff - Mohamed was very friendly, kind and accommodating. Responds to all my requests and questions efficiently.

    I had a very pleasant stay at Rexxee Istanbul Istiklal Hotel. The location is excellent, just steps from Istiklal Street and Taksim Square. The room was clean and comfortable, with good Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially Sarah, who made me feel very welcome and assisted me whenever I needed something. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

    Nicely located lovely and spacious apartment right in the heart of istiklal street, very close to Taksim square and Galata tower, conveniently located to transportation. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and professional, both Abdullah and Erden were amazing and helpful. The room was big and had everything we needed. Had a wonderful stay with my son.

    Istiklal street is a big pedestrian market that include all kind of shopping with really quality items with reasonable prices. Clothes especially they have varity and really reasonable prices. Everything in this street, clothes, turkish delights, sweets, food, restaurants, music, coffee shops. Istanbul also have specialised matkets like bride's matket in Fatih that includes wedding dresses and all items related to weddings.
