The food court was impressive!
The food court was impressive! Sadly, we did not eat in a restaurant here, which I would like to do on our next trip. The escalators were surrounded by magnificent architecture! The toy floor was a delight to our children, but I think Hamleys (?) in Picadilly Circus is better. The ceilings are rather low on the toy floor in Harrods and it feels rather cave like. A great place to visit just so you can say you've been. Souvenirs are extremely expensive particularly for us Aussies who have a pretty terrible exchange rate currently. I have not been in this place for a long time as every time I did go, the staff seem to make you feel less than anything lower than a pleb. They look at you up & down & won't offer service. I found one older lady who works on the lower floor who was so nice & disgusted when I told her how I felt the other staff members treated me. It wasn't just one time either, I tried going in to that place about 4-5 times with the same experience so I vowed never to return. Everything was superb, the location just around the corner from 3 tube stations, Harrods, best restaurants, bars, grocery stores and 5 museums. We had a very enjoyable stay, will definitely be back!
