A good location for a relaxing stay in Kabale, Amasiko Homestay Lake Bunyonyi is a guest house surrounded by views of the lake. The property features a private beach area, garden and parking on-site among other facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony. The guest house provides garden views, an outdoor fireplace and a 24-hour front desk. Units are complete with a shared bathroom equipped with a shower, while certain units at the guest house also provide guests with a terrace. At the guest house, all units have bed linen and towels. After living in Africa for more than 30 years — I am from Netherlands —, I turned my efforts to promote a sustainable and ecological approach to positively impact the region. I like fun and good company. Together with our staff, I am very happy to receive guests, show our place and make them feel at home. My little active and handsome boy Kyan also enjoys entertaining our visitors

Amasiko Homestay is part of a social not-for-profit enterprise located in Southwestern Uganda close to the Rwandan border, directly on the shores of beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Our project consists of an eco-guesthouse operation, an organic farm, and the opportunity for young people to take part in vocational training programs. The income gained from eco-tourism is very important to finance our activities.

The place is very quiet and peaceful. There is access to the lake and it's possible to swim as the water is clean, free from diseases and there are no mosquitos here. There is a dugout canoe and an inflatable ITIWIT canoe which guests can use at a fee. It’s also possible to hire a motorboat,. There is a possibility for a 2-3 hours hike on the nearby hills with a beautiful view over Lake Bunyonyi and the nearby rolling landscape and opportunities to learn from the local community about their culture. Also you can visit the local primary school which we started some years ago and is now fully independent.
