The position between Palazzo dei Normanni and San Giovanni degli Eremiti church (declared UNESCO heritage) is surely the flagship of this holiday home. You can easily reach the place by car. The route is subject to Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) but call or write me for info. There's a private parking close to the apt. and possibility to find free parking. From its position, inside the district of Albergheria, you can easily reach the Ring Road (Viale della Regione Siciliana) and all the motorway junctions. The apartament is inside an historic building (around 1920) and during the building renovation (Febbruary 2018) we tried to conserve and maintain all the Sicilian original structural features of the building. However it is a full optionals equipped appartament suitable for a traveller. A different kind of teas, herbal teas a good italian coffee are always available. There's also available a little first aid, a sewing set, two decks of french playing cards and a deck of sicilian cards with scoreboard and two very detailed city guides of Palermo (Italian and English version). The striking views from the balcony and the window of the apartment are worth to be admired by our guests.

As a citizen of Palermo for generations my main purpose is to convey my love for my wonderful city to my guests, a city full of beauties but also full of contradictions that make it certainly fascinating for those who live it but also for those who visit it for the first time. The assumption that I never try to forget is that, before being a Host, I have always been and still are a traveler so my main goal is to make the stay of my guests as pleasant as possible trying to provide them all the amenities that a traveler usually seeks and that the structure allows me to offer. I always try to give my guests all the information about my city that I know and, in case I couldn’t give them some information it will be a pleasure to inform me and give all the answers to their questions. The comparison with the guests is certainly a source of enrichment for both parties. In my work, that I consider a passion, I’m supported by my son Fabrizio Pisciotta that shares with me the love for our city, for our cultural heritage and for our food, a flagship for Palermo and the whole Sicily. The apartment is nestled inside the district of Albergheria, one of the oldest and characteristic areas of the city where you can visit the Ballarò food market which remains the liveliest and most active market among the city’s historic markets. From this position you can easily reach by walk all the main monuments of the city like The Cathedral, Quattro Canti, Casa Professa, Via Maqueda, Teatro Massimo and so on. Apart from the Ballarò market ( where prices are very cheap) you can find a Pharmacy, a Post office, a Bank with ATM service in the nearby of the building. The “ Basile” Terminal Bus is about 15 minutes walk far from the apartment and there is an underground and railway station (D’Orleans Station) as you cross the main street in front the main door of the building. Not very far from this district (10 minutes walk) you can find the commercial zone of Corso Calatafimi where you can find a lot of shoes and clothing stores but also food and objects shops and a lot of supermarkets. Inside the apartment you can find some ‘folders’ which helps you to discover historic places and monuments and also restaurants, pizzerie and street food shops of the district and of the city.
