The cabin is 69 sqm (about 750 sqf) on two levels and can host up to nine guests. The lower level has a common area with a kitchen, a main bedroom with queen-size bed, a second bedroom with a queen size bed and a bunk bed, and a bathroom. The mezzanine (upper level) has two single beds. Note that the mezzanine can only be accessed via stairs. The cabin is heated with radiators. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare a simple meal. There is a four plate stove with an oven, a medium size fridge, a dishwasher and a microwave. Cookware, utensils, glasses and dishes are provided for 8-12 persons. Towels, kitchen-towels and, dish-washing liquid and soap for the dishwasher is provided. All bed linen, towels and face towels are provided. Requests for additional linen or towels has to be made two days in advance of your arrival. The cabin has a private patio with a sitting area, a gas BBQ and a hot tub.
To this date I have lived in Iceland for almost a decade. Here I have found my love for nature and all of its unique places to explore while I hike; I love the contrast of Iceland's summers and winters with their bright and dark days; and I love how safe I feel here, but only while I respect nature and weather. I strive to show our guests Iceland it its best light. We try to suggest travel routes, places to see, and even restaurants to visit, we think our guests would want to experience.
The cabin is located a stone-throw away from Kerið-crater. It is ideally located for explorations around the south of Iceland, especially the Golden Circle. The cabin is at Minni-Borg, where you can find a small convenience store, swimming pool and a gym.
