Since purchased in 2023 The Arch Bar has been open. In 2024 the first floor was fully renovated in converted into a number of bedrooms for holiday accommodation. This is a new venture for us, we are doing our utmost to get things right so our guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. If there is anything we could do better please let us know.

The Arch Bar is in the heart of Carndonagh, a historic, market town full of colour, vibrance, hustle and bustle and the friendliest of people. As it’s in the centre of town it is within easy walking distance of all amenities – restaurants, pubs, take-aways, chemist, church, a number of supermarkets, bank, fuel stations, local transport links. In the heart of the beautiful Inishowen peninsula it is on the Wild Atlantic Way and the Inishowen 100. It is a shot drive from all the wonderful attractions that Inishowen has to offer: The world renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club – Less than 10 minutes Ireland’s most northerly point – 20 minutes Wild Alpaca Way – 15 minutes Doagh Famine Village – 15 minutes Fort Dunree – 30 minutes Glenevin Waterfall – 15 minutes Greencastle/Magilligan Ferry – 20 minutes Grianan of Aileach – 35 minutes To mention just a few. It is surrounded my many golden, sandy beaches. 40 minutes from City of Derry Airport 90 minutes from Belfast International Airport 30 minutes from the City of Derry 50 minutes from Letterkenny Buses go daily to and from Dublin and the airport.
