Mountain View has fantastic views of Muckish and Errigal Mountains, Ray Forrest and the Seascape views overlooking Falcarragh Strand and the Islands, yet is set quietly in a tranquil and private area you will love. It is situated between the famous and picturesque towns of Falcarragh and Dunfanagy and close to all the activities Donegal has to offer. We are one pet (one small dog - eg Yorkie/Jack Russell) friendly and have an EV Electric Car Charger exclusively for guests. Our house is furnished with love and not only will you be cosy but your stay will be enriched with very comfortable beds, fine decor, great artwork, superfast fibre broadband, three smart TVs, smart speaker and music Bluetooth speakers, a fantastic private site with sun terrace, seating and BBQ equipment. Add to that every single room in the house features a great view!
Siobhan is the creative one and Brian is the ‘front of house’. We love meeting people and families and we have put our heart and soul into Mountain View since buying the property in late 2021. We will offer a famous Donegal welcome. We can help you with 'things to do' for all age groups, recommend where to eat, where to grab brunch, which shops offer best grocery value, where the best walks are, how to avoid crowds, how to get into a crowd, where serves the best Guinness, where you can hear Traditional Music and what pubs are a bit quieter. We've lived in the area for more than 20 years!
Our beautifully appointed Cottage is at a quiet location just a 'seven minute' drive from the villages of Dunfanaghy and Falcarragh on the Wild Atlantic Way close to many golden beaches. Local activities include local kids beach activity clubs, golf, walking, hiking, sea and river fishing, cycling, forest and national parks, bird watching kayaking, railway line walks, Pubs, Restaurants, Local artisan shops, supermarkets, the 'Gaeltacht Area' and even equestrian opportunities lie just twenty minutes away. Of course there is also the unbroken views from the house, plenty of outside room to relax in and peaceful silence! You won’t be kept awake by ‘partying’ noisy neighbours at Mountain View. Our guests tell us they love the cottage, our personal attention to them and how we help them make the most of their holiday with thoughtfully laid out ideas for ‘action packed’ days and evenings.
