Gusti Putu Suteja was born in 1960 in Taman Village, near Ubud. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Institute of Art in Yogyakarta. From a young age, Gusti was influenced by his grandfather and began drawing in the unique Lempad style. Gusti has exhibited his work both in Indonesia and internationally, including in Germany and Australia. Examples of Gusti Putu Suteja's work, encompassing both the traditional Lempad style and his more contemporary approach, can be viewed at the "Dewangga Art Gallery" at Dewangga Ubud.
