This modern Golf and Country Club Hotel is 4 miles from Marks Hall Gardens and Arboretum and 9 miles from Braintree Shopping Village. The Essex is the perfect place to stay in this idyllic countryside location. Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town is just a 20 minute drive where you can visit the historic Castle and Colchester Zoo. The stylish rooms all include flat-screen TVs, free WiFi and have tea and coffee making facilities available. The club offers an 18-hole championship golf course and a 9-hole garden course as well as a driving range. There are also 3 private meeting spaces that can host between 10-180 guests for both conferences, Weddings and other special occasions. Our Pulse bar offers a full dining menu whilst also offering a variety of beverages, snacks and afternoon tea. Make the most of our outdoor terrace by taking a seat outside with views overlooking our golf course. Guests also have access to a state of the art techno gym and tennis courts, as well as an indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam room. Please be advised that there are specific swim times for children aged 0-16 years. Visit our Aura Spa during your stay to enjoy the range of treatments we have to offer. Check-in is from 3.00pm onwards. Should you wish to arrive a little earlier, you are more than welcome to join us in our bar for a drink or two; alternatively, we'd be more than happy to store your luggage while you explore the local area or make use of the club facilities.
Check-out is 11.00am.
Our Pulse Bar and Restaurant is open throughout the day for you to enjoy at your leisure. Please be advised that pre-booking is not necessary.

Breakfast is available 7.00am to 10.30am Monday to Friday
and 7.30am to 10.30am on weekends and bank holidays.
LUNCH
Lunch is served daily from 10.30am - 3.00pm.
DINING
Dinner is served daily from 5.00pm - 8.30pm.
Throughout your stay, you have complimentary use of our on-site pool, pool side facilities and gym. Studio Classes are also available, please contact reception on the day to check class availability and to book your space.
We can confirm that we have specific family swim times, please see below for your information:
Monday to Thursday – 10.00am to 11.00am then 3.30pm till 6.00pm
Friday - 10.00am to 11.00am then 3.30pm till 7.00pm
Saturday to Sunday, Including Bank Holidays – 11.00am to 6.00pm

Anyone under the age of 17 years is not permitted to stay in the hotel, unless accompanied by an adult. Please note that if a group booking has to be cancelled, it must be done with 30 days notice instead of the usual 24 hours notice (for a single booking)
