Set back from a quiet rural lane. Mallards is located next to Frenches Farm Livery which has stables and offers arena hire. The nearest village of Great Bardfield is a short 5 minute drive away where you will find 2 pubs, a tearoom and a Co-Op. An 8 minute drive will take you to the village of Finchingfield, known as the most pictured village in England and a hotspot for cyclists. Mallards is a 12 minute drive from Great Dunmow, a 20 minute drive from Stansted Airport, and 20 minutes from Braintree where you can find a train station with regular trains to London Liverpool Street. Guests have access to private parking outside Mallards throughout the stay. Public transport is available but is very limited in this area so a car is recommended if you wish to travel to nearby villages or further afield. Local taxi information will be provided once a booking is confirmed.
