La Petite Cavee is a unique place to stay particularly for nature lovers. It is a converted bread house, which would once have been a busy hub for the working farm. This rustic gite has been transformed into a tranquil setting with it's own private garden and small fish pond, where guests can switch off and unwind from the busy modern world. There are sheep, a horse, donkey, free-range chickens and ducks living on the land, which is set on the side of a picturesque hill. We look forward to welcoming you here, to our slice of paradise.
I am a professional musician, originally from the UK. Having had a very busy working life based in London and touring internationally, I had long been dreaming of moving to France. Normandie was the perfect place in Europe, as I am still able to continue my work as a musician, combined with running our small gite. I am a keen horse rider and enjoy integrating with the local people, including the farming neighbours who have been very friendly and welcoming. I am also a published author, so this place is perfect for peace and reflection.
Guests who stay here particularly enjoy this location in Normandie. Surrounded by lush, green countryside with grazing cows, our village is only an hour from the beaches and the wonderful UNESCO site of Le Mont St Michel. There are weekly markets in every local town where you can buy fresh produce, including breads and cheeses. There is a goat farm nearby, where they make their own delicious cheese. The area is steeped in history and the WW2 Beaches are an hour away too. If you are interested in crafts, there is well-known Pottery Museum in Ger, 15 minutes drive from here. There is so much to explore and learn about in this beautiful place.
