To confirm tourist status at check-in, you may present the immigration stamp in your passport or the Andean Immigration Card or Mercosur Card, which details the foreign visitor's entry into Colombia (date and type of entry). Alternatively, follow immigration authorities' verification instructions.
Colombian citizens holding dual nationality are not considered foreign tourists or non-resident visitors in Colombia and therefore do not qualify for VAT refunds (as per Article 1.6.1.23.3 of Decree 1067/2015).
