First mentioned in 1608 and family-owned since 1908, the hotel Zum Schwarzen Bären in the scenic Wachau region combines tradition with modern amenities like a 400-m² spa area and free internet access. All rooms at this elegant 4-star hotel feature a minibar, a satellite TV and a private bathroom. Some rooms have a balcony. The restaurant’s cuisine serves traditional and regional cuisine, including lamb, Angus beef and sucking calf. Fresh fish and traditional pastries are also served. Emmersdorf represents the western gate to the UNESCO-protected Wachau and is located right at the Danube Bike Path and the train line along the river.
