The location is near the beach, with plenty of nive restaurants nearby. The rooms were big and full of natural light. The common space was well organized, and equipped.

We had a private room with shared bath. It was super clean and very comfortable. We did not have a problem with noise at all. Towels and linens included in our stay. We enjoyed visiting the nearby museum and garden (Musea da Quinta das Cruzes) which is just a short walk away. This hostel was a great value.

The best hostel in all my 3 weeks holiday in Madeira for winter. The location is perfect, close to everything. The hostel is beautiful and always clean. The staff is very friendly, they provided good advice on the activities to do. People who stay there are also very friendly. The kitchen is well equipped and well organized. I booked only a few days and extended for 2 weeks. Very convenient. I will comeback for sure.

Jaca Hostel Funchal está ubicado en Funchal, a 9 minutos a pie de Playa Almirante Reis y a 700 metros de Marina de Funchal, y ofrece un jardín y un bar. A comfy hostel located extremely centrally, yet in a smaller street, so it's not too noisy. The staff were very welcoming (thanks for the welcome drink!) and the cafe downstairs is very cozy. In fact, it was the best breakfast I had anywhere, let alone a hostel! The bathroom was clean, large, and shower worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend.
