Our room had nice view from outside the window. We met the guy at the reception and he was really kind and helpful to us! He spoke great english and gave us a map with many activities and recommendations for our stay in Takayama. I definitely recommend this hostel to any people looking for an affordable but traditional place for their stay, as well as it being very foreigner- friendly

Situated in Takayama, 2.1 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, Tomato Takayama Station features views of the city. With free WiFi, this 2-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. We were accomodated in different place than was advertised, so I cannot review anything. Price was high, but it could be because of the autumn festival that was happening that day.
