This place was excellent. The private room I booked was spacious, clean, comfortable, with high ceilings and functioning AC. The courtyard was very peaceful and enjoyable to sit in and do work. The kitchen had everything I needed. For the price, this was an amazing deal, it was WAY better than the 3-star hotel I moved into the following night. Plus with kitchen access.

El colchón un poco fino pero estaba bien. Raúl el encargado muy amable. Ningún problema para el check in/check out.

One of the best places I've stayed at during my travels through South America! This newish hostel is located just one block from the main plaza . It is super clean, comfortable, safe, and quiet. The owners are incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Sometimes you will get a morning coffee and there's free fruit and tea. One of the best parts is the kitchen--it is the best stocked kitchen I've used in a hostel--stove, oven, toaster, and coffee maker and tons of pots and pans that are in good condition and plates, bowls, utensils to use. Everything works and it's just a pleasant place to make a meal. This place just feels like home. The hostel has both private rooms and dorm rooms. For those staying in the dorm rooms, you get a large towel and a face towel (unheard of in Latin America) and you don't need to pay extra. The private rooms do not have en-suite bathrooms. But there are plenty of bathrooms to use. They are clean, and the showers have good water pressure and consistent hot water. The location is another plus. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. If you are coming by bus, you could easily walk to the hostel from the station. It will be about a 20-minute walk (no hills). An Uber cost me about 2,500 pesos. I have stayed at two other places in Salta and Clivias Hostel is so much better than the other places I've stayed at.

Total Hostel Salta está ubicado en Salta, a 4 minutos a pie de Cabildo de Salta, y tiene un jardín, habitaciones libre de humo y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Excelente experiencia! El hostel superó nuestras expectativas: la atención del personal fue maravillosa, siempre atentos y amables. La ubicación es perfecta, cerca de todo, y las instalaciones estaban impecables, muy limpias y cómodas. Sin dudas volveríamos 100%

We booked in last minute upon our arrival to Cafayate and all were handled quickly and smoothly. We were welcomed in warm gesture, the room was clean and ready, WIFI works great and the location is super great.
