Hostels in Ottawa

I had an amazing time. The cells are little, so I was a bit worried about getting claustrophobic at first. However, the walls are quite high so that wasn’t an issue for me at all. The beds are very comfortable and there’s a power and an USB outlet. You can hear everything through the doors (the cells are open on the top at at the bottom), but everyone was trying to be super quiet, plus there were earplugs offered at the reception. The washrooms and showers were one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen; soap and paper was provided at all times. There were also two washings machines in the basement free of charge (one of them could tumble dry as well) and I even got some washing powder for free at the reception. I only stayed for one night, because I wasn’t sure how I’d deal with the small cell and the noise, but I would have loved to stay there for another day or two (unfortunately, they were fully booked).

Good place for travelers on a budget. You are going to meet like-minded people here. Also hostel is close to metro, old part of town, parlament hill is in walkable distance. There's a front 'veranda', living room and a terrace in the back for chilling out. In the kitchen there's enough space for 4 people per house, it sometimes gets crowded but people are respectful.
