Set within 25 km of Wufeng Park and 34 km of Alishan Forest Railway in Fanlu, Slow House provides accommodation with seating area. The room and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained—I have no complaints. There was hot water available, which was great. The owner was kind and hospitable. The location is perfect, close to Xiding bus stop, making it convenient to get around. It’s about 15–30 minutes to the Tea/Mist and Eryanping trails if you enjoy hiking. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Taiwan.

Offering free bikes and city view, 郵系空間民宿 is situated in Zhuqi, 10 km from Wufeng Park and 12 km from Chiayi Park. It was very clean and well maintained. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was very strong and the TV had many channels. The host was very warm, welcoming, diligent, friendly, and helpful. There is a great night market and many stores nearby.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Hongpeng Coffee Station Homestay is set in Meishan, 5.8 km from Meishan Taiping Old Street and 24 km from Janfunsun Fancy World. The place is run by a family. The son helped us carry our luggages to the 2nd floor. The place has no elevator. Our room is huge with all the basic amenities. It's got a great view from the patio. On clear days one can view the sun rise there. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. It's about a 10 min drive from the Tai Ping sky ladder. There are no resturants close by, so grab your bento from the Tai Ping old street. Highly recommended.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, One Roll Stone Homestay is situated in Fanlu, 18 km from Chiayi Tower and 19 km from Lantan Reservoir. The seclusion in the mountains literally feels like you’re on a luxury retreat. The stay is in the mountains so make sure you pack your lunch and dinner ahead since they only provide breakfast. They have a kitchen or microwave for you. They also have a water dispenser. The view is phenomenal here and you get to hike if you feel like it all the way to the top of the mountain for free. They also have cats and dogs.

Boasting mountain views, Rainy Pleasure provides accommodation with patio, around 7.4 km from Meishan Taiping Old Street. Very nice place. Like paradise!

Highly recommended for kids or youth to experience kampong like style of stay here if travelling to Alishan. It’s well maintained and really clean. The owner will personally prepare delectable breakfast according to our time preference so as to ensure freshness of food.

Situated in Alishan and only 24 km from Alishan Forest Railway, Sunrise Yunqi Teahouse features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This is a lovely place that feels like a home. It is Warmly and beautifully furnished. The room and bathroom are very big and pleasant. The mountain views from the rooms are as good as many of the lookout points in Alishan. The breakfast and dinner is elaborately prepared almost like a Michelin Star restaurant. The owners treated us like a friend that is staying with them.

Located in Kung-t'ien-ts'un and only 25 km from Wufeng Park, 品味觀峰民宿 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Jimmy is a great host! And provides multiple tips and tricks in the neighborhood depending on your plans. Jimmy even waited with me for the bus to make sure the bus wouldn’t skip the stop. This is such a hidden gem of a B&B. I would definitely recommend it and come again.

Located in Budai, the recently renovated The Wind BnB Ⅱ provides accommodation 1.3 km from High Heel Wedding Church and 21 km from Xinying Cultural Centre. Very clean!! Cozy atmosphere!!
